Bullshit. Hleb, Fabregas and Flamini one man team. You take 3/4 of any teams midfield away and they'll struggle.

Flamini really shouldn't be missed - he's had a good start to the season, but Diarra is the better player. Losing Hleb wouldn't be so bad if Walcott/a real winger had started instead of Eboue. But without Fabregas there's no effective playmaker. Rosicky is out wide, Denilson hasn't fully matured.

One man team was overdoing it, but without him the passing game suffers massively.

Nah, Hleb may start on the right/left but there is no way he's a winger. Hleb cuts inside all the time and affectively keeps the ball moving forward for us. Sure Fabregas does it too but look at how many of out attacks are started by a perceptive ball by Hleb.
As for Flamini, we shouldnt miss him but i was watching the game today and for the most part i couldnt actually see the midfield. It ween Toure, Middlesborough's team than Adebayor who was usually standing in an offside postion. We had no driving force or combatative nature in the midfield which Flamini provides. I cannot remember Gilberto doing anything....

I think Liverpool should have gone in for him.

As a second striker he would have been a great foil for Torres or Crouch. In a 4-3-3 he can also play as a left sided wide player.

Tuncay looks a better player than Voronin.

    ok

he looked good today. Spurs should have gone in for Voronin, at £0 he's significantly cheaper than Bent and he and Berbatov have previous.

I don't know how Arsenal can 'miss' Flamini since he's only just broken into the first team. Gleb, Rosicky, Percy and Cesc is a different matter. Are any of them back for Chelsea?

I think we can "miss Flamini" considering the central midfield performance that was shown today.

Well that was absolutely atrocious from Arsenal. Despite the late goal there were no positives from that game, we were outplayed in every aspect of the game and deservedly lost. Boro can feel aggrieved that they only won by a single goal because the difference between the two teams was more than that. The defence were asleep today, no awareness, no reading of the game and panicking constantly. I think that is something of a one-off though because they have played well for most of the season.

The midfield is the big worry. Diarra is a decent player but him and Gilberto is a poor central midfield combination at this point in time. Gilberto looks woeful, his performance levels have dropped alarmingly this season and he has now played enough games that rustiness is not an excuse. Rosicky was alright, but not much better than mediocre, and offers the only slight hint of creativity in our current midfield. The energy and inventiveness of Flamini, Cesc and Hleb is being badly missed.

Eboue was a disgrace today. I'm frustrated and disappointed with the rest of the team because they played extremely poorly, but these things happen. Eboue spent the whole game cheating and causing trouble and it is not good enough. On principle alone he deserves to be left out of the squad for a number of games because I don't want him at the club if he is going to keep doing things like he did today.

Big improvements are needed for the Chelsea game.

Wow, what a time and match for Boro's annual Big 4 victory. In the end I don't think it's a big surprise, considering Arsenal have all 3 of their best players this season, injured.

We do need some extra back up in terms of creativity though. Wenger should get his cheque book out in January for a left sided midfielder.

    The guy is a moron.

If he concentrated on his game more instead of looking for petty arguments and causing pointless conflicts he would be some player.

Its been going on for a while now, far to long actually. Nothing seems to be done, its still going on. I would be dissapointed if the backroom staff were not talking to him about it. I'm not going to include the Barcelona dive, because lets face it most players play act these days. Its rare if they don't. The simulation of a head injury at Anfield was embaressing and the elbow to Wayne Bridges neck was pure cowardice. Its rare to have a player that you dislike at your club, he has gone that way i'm afraid.

The little kick at Pogatetz was Sunday League stuff.

They always up their game against the big teams regardless of how $h!t they've been. It's disappointing we didn't atleast get a point..Hope we bounce back soon enough instead of letting this display affect our season. Think the match against chelsea will be a draw.
