Chances going begging at either end until Freddie Ljungberg wins a penalty which Mark Noble coolly converts for victory

He's already a better midfielder than Ronaldo. If he gets some power and consistency with his left foot he should be able to be the best wide midfielder in the world.

Anton Ferdinand equalised from a Noble corner as United defence finally broke.

    West Ham 2-1 Man Utd

Upson then rose highest to head a winner from a Noble free-kick into the top corner and the Hammers held on for only a third home win of the season.

My mistake, i thought this was the Premiership thread. But why are you posting about the West Ham 2-1 Man Utd game?

Wash your mouth out! Figo has the skill and technique to still cut it at 35. I wonder how long some of these pace merchants will last for in the top-flight, once they start to loose their pace.

Nani's game isn't about pace. His crossing is really good and so is his long shots.

Out of Ronaldo, Nani and Quaresma, imo, Nani is more similar to Figo in terms of style of play. he is still only 21 and has a lot to improve.

Nani is definately the only one of Ronaldo, and Queresma I see being able to go until 35.

Doesn't fit into the 'EPL is a league of pace merchants with no skill' agenda I guess.

    scratch

Nani scored 34 goals in 58 games for Sporting.

In Figo's time at Sporting he managed just 16 in 137. Obviously its not JUST about goals but can you two honestly say that you remember Figo from his Sporting days?

He didn't move to Barca until he was 23.
