    If Thierry Henry is considered a world class player due to statistical and athletic prowess then Gerrard should be too.

    If we're keeping back the 'world class' tag for those players who exhibit the best technical and tactical attributes then I can think of hundreds who are called that unfairly.

    I've never seen him as a tempo setting sort of CM, he doesnt have the close control or game intelligence, unlike Xavi, Fabregas, Scholes, Pirlo etc He would be fine there in most games if we had better attacking players, but we dont, so he has to play more advanced.

    I apologise on behalf of the Gerrard-can-do-wrong people though. Wink
