I don't think he'll be a United player either Ale I'd hate to think it but Madrid is probably the likeliest destination - if only because they'll be the only one prepared to throw that much money around.

With Valencia not finishing in the top 4 and Villa not having a great season, what do you think his transfer value would be before going to the euros?

I think we need more of a target man striker.

Villa has a 100 mil euros (pounds?) buyout clause. Also, as you say, he's not the type of the player you need.

Because of the Madrid-Man. Utd, Chelsea-Barcelona, Valencia-Arsenal synchronisation when it comes to winning their respective leagues. Going back 7 or 8 seasons I think, these teams have always won the league in the same years.

On Valencia, I too am starting to believe the Koeman must go bandwagon...I thought he had started turning things around, but they just keep getting worse. But now watch them beat us in the Copa Del Rey Erm

Valencia fans are obviously not happy at this season, but you can't help but think "careful what you wish for", after they all wanted Quique out for supposedly playing bad football even though they were clinging on near the top. So in a way the general majority of the fans are also to blame.

Hopefully so. Villa is critical to Valencia. Needless to say, they will not find/be able to afford an adequate replacement.

Kick out Koeman let Maduro follow him (shouldn't be near the Valencia or Dutch side - and a rip off at 2m). Helguera (who was always going to be $h!t) also needs to leave. I wouldn't be adverse to selling Arizmendi, Angulo and Barraja/Edu either. The likes of Caniera, Zigic & Arizmendi probably aren't good enough either (sell one of them).

    GK -New GK, Hildebrand
CB - New CB, Albiol, Alexis, Marchena
    RB - Miguel, new RB
    LB - New LB, Moretti
CM/DM - Banega, Fernandes, Sunny, Albelda, Barraja, Marchena
    LW - Vicente, Silva, Mata
    RW - Joaquin
    FW - Villa, Morientes, Arizmendi/Zigic.

Looking at that squad it is hard to see why valencia arent in the top of the league. imo they only need to improve their squad because i think they have a first 11 that is able to win the league:
    Hildebran

    Miguel--Abiol---Alexis--Morreti

    ----Banega---Fernandes------

    Joaquin----Silva-----Vicente

    -----------Villa--------------
Allthough an improved lb would prob be welcolmed. now if only Koeman can get over his trouble with Fernandes and get Vicente back in shape then they have something really good.

Fernandes probably won't return under Koeman, and may not return anyway. He did underperform in his short spell, but the decision to offload him was ridiculous, owing as much to Koeman's dislike of him, as anything else. He's a talented midfielder, who defends and creates, and will only get better. Koeman definitely needs to go. Laudrup would be a fantastic (gettable) replacement.

Not sure Hildebrand is good enough to be their number one either. He's prone to mistakes, mistakes that are more often than not costly. Obviously, Canizares is similar in this regard, so I'd bring in another keeper. I've heard good things about Diego at Almeria so perhaps he could be the answer. Others such as Ustari or Lloris may also be gettable.

I'd also buy a quality CB to compete with Albiol & Alexis.

Agree with you on Moretti and the rest of your points. They have quality throughout.

I would actually like Laudrup to go to Valencia because right now Real arent going to get him and i dont want barca to get him so Valencia would be a good place to be before we eventually get him. Very Happy
I think he could turn their bad form because he understands their problems. he has talked about them many times. allthough the problems they have outside sporting ones will be more difficult to manage. so far it is good that Soler has gone.

    2-0
Villarreal pretty much closes the game with a strange penalty and just subed Rossi of course takes it. Zaragoza has actually created a fair few chances but they havent been clinical enough and i just dont think it is their day.

    Other games:
Getafe has just gotten an equaliser through Uche who is back. Valladolid are playing in a Scoreless draw so far with Osasuna. Espanyol has come back after a early Guiza score through Luis Garcia on a penalty.

Getafe scores through Gavilan after Racing get Alvarez sent off. looks like Getafe will extend their unbeaten streak to 11 games. also might help give them the edge ahead of their semifinal copa del rey return game.
