How on earth can you remember George Best? You're only 2 years older than me. I vaguely remember him playing a few games for Hibs but he was a fat bastard by then.

I saw Best in 1976 v Holland in De Kuip, finished 2-2. He was already way past his top, still he was by far MOTM that match.

I love attacking wingers that's why I've Best and Houseman (who I even rate higher, Argentinian Best). Thought about Stoichkov & even C Ronaldo

Maybe my footy memory is better. Started going to matches at an early age (3), had a season ticket as of aged 6 & saw a load of Holland matches like the one with Best (was 9 then). Have loads of footy videos too (to refresh my memory).

ppl here often compare him to the best of the best...not that many though cause he never played for one of the bigger teams(even though he did won the local championship).

El Loco still managed to play 55 matches for Argentina & scored 13.

I'm really struggling with this, because I'd had to have Maradona, Fat Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Zidane, Socrates, Van Basten and Romario, and that's leaving out Stoichkov, Hagi and Rivaldo.

So it's going to be a 2-3-5 formation or something.

Out of interest how old were you when Cruijff was at his peak? If you don’t ask me asking. I’m guessing van Hanegem at his best was roughly around the same time. One thing I’m envious of is some of these legends were way before my time..
