The thing is it is the way forward. Maybe it work straight away but I would rather try the two most talented CM's then plod along with Lampard + Gerrard.COTR wrote:Noble and huddlestone is the way forwardshazlx wrote:Theres nothing wrong with the partnership per say other than that both players are $h!t CMs. It will never work in the way the Boumsong and Bramble could never work.L r d wrote:

Re: Capello's first Ingerland squad
Why not, people are genuinely talking about laying Hesky yet C.Cole is better in every single department. I mean who is more prolific for England that could genuinely lead the line? Agbonlahor? I don't mind trying him.debaser wrote:honestly, C.Cole, why? he's not a bad player - he's looked decent at times this season for ham (never did for villa) - but he must be just about the least prolific striker ever. what qualities does he have that outweigh the fact he's a striker who very very rarely scores?shazlx wrote:NoCOTR wrote:........................James

This is your england team shaz ?
My teamGK - Dunno really. I'll go with the flavor of the month.
Johnson . . . Woodgate . . . Rio1 . . . A.Hole
J.Cole . . . Noble . . . Huddlestone2 . . . Young
Rooney . . . Ashton3
1. Learn to pas Ni-G'
2. Barry if he's not ready and then Hargreaves then Carrick.
3. Seeing as he's injured all the time C.Cole or Agbonlahor will have to play most games.

Re: Capello's first Ingerland squad
I can't agree Cole better than Heskey in every department. Heskey is stronger, better in the air and far more experienced. He also has a better goalscoring record (maybe not this season), although also not at all prolific. Not a pretty player by any stretch of the imagination, but effective.
Cole (at least for Villa, when I watched him plenty) didn't seem to have the know-how to use his size & strength to beat defenders or create space, nor any composure...so he was neither a good partner or a good goalscorer.
Maybe he's got better - i've only seen a little of him this season but I'd probably pick any of Heskey, Crouch, Ashton, Agbonlahor, even Harewood above him for that role

Re: Capello's first Ingerland squad
Guessing with Richards out Brown will play right back & James will continue in goal. Only other change from the last game maybe whether Beckham starts in place of Bentley for his 100th cap.

In the last game Jenas started with Cole on the left. Young didn't make the cut i think

Probably because he's been one of the best defenders in the league this season.

Young was cut. Walcott clearly deserved a place more, what with him playing for 5 mins against Milan and everything.

Might aswell also point out that in our games this season..Wheater has been given MOTM against Arsenal Twice. Man Utd once..and Liverpool once.
Amongst numerous other MOTM performances.

If he had seen the Man U - Pool game he would have witnessed Carrick giving a masterclass and regretted not picking him into the squad, still everyone even Don Fabio makes mistakes.

Why a big mistake Franky? Best performer for England at major Internationals and he's doing a great job as captain when Giggs is sitting out as well.

Re: Capello's first Ingerland squad
big difference being a p/t captain of man ure compared to england for one his press conferences would be hysterical he can't string two words together. he isn't vocal enough on the pitch not such a big issue as ure are generally winning. he'd do well to concentrate on his own game than worry about captaincy.
