the stupidity of chelsea Empty the stupidity of chelsea

Post by wastastic Fri Sep 01, 2006 1:56 pm

im a very worried chelsea fan who thinks that this season is going to be a disaster. only two strikers and only three centre backs, yet four hundred zillion central midfielders. Why only yesterday did we sell two centre backs without replacing them. Ok we got a fine leftback in exchange for the one centreback but chelsea already have a good left back and the difference between bridge and cole is not much. Its not good buisness: sell ur best defender to ur biggest rivals which in turn completely unbalances ur squad. Its fucking stupid!!! I truely think chelsea will struggle to finish top 4 this season with the squad as it is at the moment. Any other club could have an excuse for an unbalanced squad but not the richest club in the world. If you have bottomless pits of money to waste on players then is it not too much to ask that you think about who you buy/sell before you do it and relate it to the balance of the team. I cant wait till terry and drogba get injured and chelsea have essien at cb and ballack upfront and we struggle to beat the likes of charlton (no offence meant). If i was roman i would tell jose and peter to sort it the fuck out as they act like and show the mental capasity of retarded scally kids. I know such a thread will be music to the ears of luckypoo and manure fans but it needs to be said: CHELSEA ARE THERE FOR THE TAKING AND IT IS NOT BECAUSE OF ANYONE ELSE BUILDING A TEAM TO CHALLENGE THEM, IT IS BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THE FOOTBALLING SIDE OF THE CLUB ARE INCOMPETANT! west ham will finish above chelsea in the league this year. Also i would say the likes of westham and spurs havew a better squad than chelsea now. not in the amount of names but in balance and depth. COngrats Jose and peter u've ruined chelsea.

You still have all those WC players though - I'm sure they'll pull you through.

Admittedly though, I have a feeling that it will be a close run title this season ok

Oh Boo Hoo try being a United fan we have spent less then we have earned in transfers in the last few seasons.

    We have 3 crocked strikers

We rely on 32 year old Giggs and 31 year old Scholes to drive us

O'shea will play in our big games

we have no squad depth in midfield

We are owned by the bastard Glazers

Im not saying that he isnt a Chels fan purely because hes crticisisng the club - but there are a number of things in there an actual Chelsea fan would never say. It's clearly a wind-up IMO.

If they both get injured - we have Boulahrouz partnering one of Ferreira, Mancienne or Essien. All 3 are capable. It's not ideal, but which club would be sitting pretty if it's 2 first choice CBs got injured ?

Boulah is a way better CB than Carvalho is. No probs.

True - if Chelsea lost, say, Makelele, Terry, Ferreira Robben and Shevchenko then their side would look a lot weaker and have much less balance and variation. That's only five players, which we've seen at Liverpool, Man U and Newcastle in recent seasons and seen how hard it can hit them.

hardrada ur missing the point: we shouldnt have to play essien or the untried Mancienne in defence if the people in charge of doing transfers did their job correctly.
Wait until the CL gets going and at some point chelsea need a goal bad but we have no forwards on the bench. Oh look John terry has gone up front, that will sort it. Oh wow we are continiously lumping aimless long balls towards terry's forehead like a division 2 side. Is this what u want to see as chelsea fans? i certainly dont.
its happened before and if something doesnt change it will happen again.
If chelsea have a good run in all three cup comps (which lets be fair they should do with the current expectations) they will be playing nearly 60 games this season. Can drogba and shevchenko play all those games? same for terry? i cant see it happening and if they are required to play so many games they will not be 100% and also tired, causing their performances to drop.
let me put it in capital letters for you so you may understand: CHELSEA DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH CENTRAL DEFENDERS OR FORWARDS AND AT SOME POINT THIS SEASON IT WILL COST THEM DEAR. BEING THE RICHEST CLUB IN THE WORLD A LACK OF PLAYERS SHOULD NEVER BE A PROBLEM, NEVER, EVER, EVER. IT IS A SCHOOLBOY ERROR.

For some reason, Chelsea never seem to have major injury concerns. scratch

Nothing like Liverpool had in 2004/2005 or we had in 2005/2006.

Oh and park, if you cant take a touch of good natured name calling about your football team then you really should not come on football forums. If i had a pound for everytime ive heard chelsea be called chelski or chavski i could probably buy out roman and put some compitent people in charge of the first team

tweedle: nope i am not the poster formally known as wassburg, nor am i the artest formally known as prince (thats luis garcia).

Cesc: true shevchenko did play in most games for Milan but at times seria A is played at walking pace giving players a chance to rest during the game, this rarely happens in the prem.

    Good God man. Use paragraphs.

wastastic wrote:hardrada ur missing the point: we shouldnt have to play essien or the untried Mancienne in defence if the people in charge of doing transfers did their job correctly.

Why on Earth not ? No half decent CB will want to sit on the bench for a season (as 4th choice) unless he came through the academy. I'd rather play Essien or Mancienne at CB with Boularhouz than Huth.

Wait until the CL gets going and at some point chelsea need a goal bad but we have no forwards on the bench.

    erm Kalou ?

3 recognised strikers is fine. + Robben who can play off the main striker.

Oh look John terry has gone up front, that will sort it. Oh wow we are continiously lumping aimless long balls towards terry's forehead like a division 2 side. Is this what u want to see as chelsea fans? i certainly dont.

Doh We only use that tactic in the last few minutes of games to desperately try and steal a goal. Believe it or not, it's not plan A.

its happened before and if something doesnt change it will happen again.
If chelsea have a good run in all three cup comps (which lets be fair they should do with the current expectations) they will be playing nearly 60 games this season. Can drogba and shevchenko play all those games?

Perhaps not - its therefore a bloody good job that we wont be playing those 2 every game. We can play one striker up front for a number of games.

same for terry? i cant see it happening and if they are required to play so many games they will not be 100% and also tired, causing their performances to drop.

Erm Terry played that many games last season. The fact is every club will have levels drop, since we will all get tired. It's not a big deal.

let me put it in capital letters for you so you may understand: CHELSEA DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH CENTRAL DEFENDERS OR FORWARDS AND AT SOME POINT THIS SEASON IT WILL COST THEM DEAR. BEING THE RICHEST CLUB IN THE WORLD A LACK OF PLAYERS SHOULD NEVER BE A PROBLEM, NEVER, EVER, EVER. IT IS A SCHOOLBOY ERROR.

Yes you are right. José has no clue. No clue at all. That explains why he has won titles for every year in his managerial career (more or less) whilst you still find it amusing to use capital letters and words like Manure.

Too many players is not a good thing, a concpet you seem to be unable to grasp. A compact team unit is necessary for success.
