I have a mate who supports Chelsea and he is like you wastastic - very disillusioned with the style of football you play and the signings that have been made - he feels the club no longer have a soul ok

He (wastastic) has a point you know. It's so annoying that we only have Carvalho, Terry, Boula for CB

    Rolling Eyes

You do realise mate, it is possible to change a formation?

Plus, I think Ferreira and Geremi have played at CB before ok

    Doh

Gerami ceratinly has, can't remember Ferriera playing there and in all honesty I doubt he'd be any good

Geremi is Chelsea's most skillful player according to Joe Cole.

    Fact of the day.

    BUT FERREIRA IS SHYTE!!!!

He's right you know. A club that has so much money is stupid ot have alienated his best defender, and you only have three top class CBs. Pretty poor i think, for a club with as much money as you have.

    ANd Essien can't play Cb

Geremi has played almost every position on the damn pitch...

But he's only any good in midfield.

He did for Lyon at times.

Youre all missing the bloody point. No truly top class CB is going to settle to be 4th choice. Huth played about 10 games last season, no CB that is actually half decent will be willing to do that.

He also was apparently our fastest player. That was before SWP came though.

He was brilliant for us, I think he was the highest...or 2nd highest assister in the league when we had him.

Should have stayed with us, obviously he's a silly twat though.

Yes....I seem to remember him scoring vs Chelsea with a free-kick or something.

He was really good that season. We tried to buy him the same season he went to boro but I think we didnt have enough money for his wages or something.

He is a perfect squad player for Chelsea. Very versatile and willing to play when he asked. Some might call him a mercenary, frankly I wouldnt disagree.

I'd call him that, and a twat, and a cunt and a few other nasty words.

We offered him a proper chance to play Premiership football...he wanted the money instead. Fuck him.

don't Chelsea have some decent youngsters? I'm fairly sure they've been on a youth raping spree, Boulywoulydoo is backup for Carvalo & Terry and Mancienne has been promoted from the reserves, not to mention Fereira, Essien and Geremi. If ALL of these players get injured then yes there may be problems - but isn't that the smae for every side?

chelsea probably do have some decent youngsters yes, but its always a gamble and -this is the main point of my whole argument, which a couple of u have picked up on- chelsea shouldnt be in the position to have to gamble on such players as they are by far the richest club in the world. To not have a complete and balanced squad for the start of the season is just not good enough for a club with such lofty asperations. Chelsea are not a normal football club (be this good or bad) because they, unlike most other clubs, do not suffer from any financal constraints limiting their expenditure so they should not have to 'make do' with playing untried youngesters or players out of position. Also hardrada, im sure there are many CB in world football they would not mind one little bit sitting on chelsea's bench collecting 30grand a week. I never said the player should be top class but when clubs such as charlton have more first team options (not saying the players r anywhere near same standard) then surely a little worry is allowed?

amid all the insults here though the initial points he tries to make are correct....

the money chelsea have wasted is truely astronomical and to be honest their squad is actually quite thin in certain positions... also some players have been bought when clearly not needed and now jose is trying to change a winning system or work these new players into the team at the expense of others...

if i was a chelsea fan i would also be feeling pretty frustrated with the clubs transfer policy... the tmeam chelsea are currently putting out is not as strong as last year's team at the minute... unless a few of the superstars are dropped for the good of the team it may be a frustrating season

There is a genuine problem here. Chelsea have only 6 frontline defenders in their first team. Of which only two Genuine CBs (Terry and Carvalho). Three Full backs (Cole, Ferreira and Bridge) and one who can play both roles (Boula).

Most teams have covers for all positions in their first team squad. Chelsea look thin in this department. Both first choice CBs getting injured is less likely to happen, but it is very likely that one gets injured and another faces a suspension they could be stretched thin. Playing inexperienced CBs in a crunch game could be a real nightmare. I fully expect Mourinho to throw cash bags in Jan to get one or two CBs.

And you still want credit for your trophies from other fans/managers? I understand what you're saying, but you can't expect things like that from your club and then still want other clubs to like you or respect you.
