While Bayern fans where willing to pay for Santa Cruz' one way trip to the island, the same can't exactly be said about Villa fans and ze Hitz, at least as far as I know.

Not exactly, no, I swear that uncle Jogi (Löw) did not kidnapp me and strangle me with his notorious scarf. I've been to the States, had a great time, and now I'm depressed because of the typical Northern German Scheisswetter.

That sounds great. Were you there for work or travelling?

A bit of both, work and travelling. California is great, had never been to the West Coast before, really recommend it if you haven't been there yet.

Santa Cruz and Torres were much the same both absolutely sh¡te for their previous clubs the season before and revelations in the EPL. but then so was Benni McCarthy in his first season and he's struggled to replicate that form second season around so time will tell on these other pair

so are Torres and Santa Cruz bad players? Or are their previous coaches at fault for not getting the best out of them?

McCarthy had some good seasons at Porto where he scored 15+ goals.

Torres wasn't shite at Atletico. Why else would all the top clubs in Europe have been linked with him?

tweeds his last two seasons he was awful. liverpool bought him on the back of his first couple of seasons when he had shown some promise. i wouldn't blame aguirre or bianchi, or pepe for torres poor displays he was given umpteen chances to score but all too often missed, simply couldn't handle the pressure.

and i do think both will struggle to replicate their first season here next time around

He seems to be handling it rosily now Frank.

Scored away against INter, scored when he needed to against Arsenal.

Hardly the atypical signs of a choker.

Also didn't have a bad world cup.
