I don't think that's either true, or the point, given what they pay Toni and that we all know Ballack won't return. But yes, a 4-4-2 would be ideal, for him to really show what he can do.

He is certainly starting to prove his worth and reputation. There seems no reason anymore why Ballack and Lampard cannot play in the same side - starting to prove that they are a capable of a very good partnership. The German deserves great credit for this, because he has adapted his game very well over the last 6 months to gel into the side.
Still, he did get owned by Zokora and Jenas in the CC final, so Im glad he hadn't peaked until later in the season
