I think Real Madrid will be really formidable opponents if they can get their man Ballack.

Don't think it will make a difference to Chelsea either way, as for Real Madrid not sure it would work out

Re: should ballack leave chelsea
It all depends whos looking to benefit, if he leaves Chelsea, their wage bill reduces and they will make some money in transfer fee.
Ballack would get more sunshine, but most likely a smaller wage.
Real Madrid would get another central midfielder, but when what they really need is some wingers and full backs.
So nobody really wins from this apart from Chelsea, if they feel he is deemed surplus to requirements.

Re: should ballack leave chelsea
Germany midfielder Michael Ballack says he chose to sign for Chelsea instead of Manchester United because the English champions are a better team.
"it's also a challenge for me, because the sort of play here suits my style." Ballack is expected to be rotated in Chelsea's teams on domestic and European duty with Ghana's Michael Essien in a three-man midfield featuring top goalscorer Frank Lampard and Frenchman Claude Makelele in the holding role.
"As for my position, I'm quite flexible," he said. "I can play at the back or the front of midfield and that flexibility is in the side as well."

But hang on Rai...
Otto and Deisler have said Ballack has said how unhappy he is at Chelsea to the German media and that his first choice was always Real Madrid and not Chelsea...
They can't be wrong surely

I reckon if Ballack went to Man United and 'didn't perform well' , Scholes will be blamed for it.

Schuster said that Ballack would be the player to link defence and attack - i.e behind the strikers, with Gago and Diarra holding. Seems to me that it's either kaka or Ballack.

What a cheap shot. Not that I wanted him to join United either, but that's just idiotic. Comparing Scholes to Lampard, or Fergie to Mourinho even, is just pure nonsense.
Scholes is a very different type of player, and he actually is tactically aware and can pass.

As could be seen when he was injured at the end of last season.
I so want him to join Madrid and shut a whole lot of people up.

The only load of Cr@p is your Mannshafts Captain, hes proven to be nothing but a lathargic ineffective, who gets outshone by a remorseless shooting machine in Lampard.

Because 90% of the United fans would not have appreciated him either, despite the fact that he was the key player of a Leverkusen side that kicked them (and two other EPL "big four" sides) out of the CL a while ago.
I'm very sceptical about German players moving to the EPL in general.

Re: should ballack leave chelsea
He'd probably be happier at Madrid than he is at Chelsea, and produce better form. He could hardly produce worse form than he did last season, when he was at times shambolic and certainly wasn't as good as the player I've watched for Germany, Munich and Leverkusen in recent years. Still, one duff season while getting used to a new league isn't a reason to consign him to the scrapheap.
Yeah, he probably should go to Madrid.

Yes.
He's not a bad player, but he certainly can't play with Lampard and (unfortunately) Lampard won't be dropped. Actually we should sell both of them, but that's neither here nor there.
Additionally I'm more than a little bored of all these Germans heaping blame on Chelsea for Ballack having a shite season.

Let's face it, your are absolutely clueless. As if you have the slightest clue about his career prior to Chelsea, about his international matches, actually anything non-EPL related that qualifies you to even make a comment on this.

Manchester United were interested , he decided to go to Chelsea .. the failure to sign Ballack Manchester United signed Michael Carrick and to be honest Ballack would have done the same role.
Has Ballack spoken about a potential departure ? maybe Chelsea didn't suit his style like he said.

Never said otherwise. He did disappoint in his first season for Chelsea, there absolutely is no doubt about it.
