Not bothered about the late goal. The players knew the title race was over. However it's too many incidents like that which have effectively cost us the chance of winning the title this season.

We must have the best away record of any team since the Premiership began, which only highlights how bad we've been at home. 14 points dropped this season (to Man Utd's 5)!

That said, Alex might have just lost his place for the CL final. Awful clearance and then he stands directly in front of Cech before letting the ball go through him.

I hope Bolton get that bus off the park OK. It's quite a tight pitch you know.

    Congrats to Man Utd. Ale

Congratulations to Man Utd for the successful season. Whilst I think the stuff regarding them being the more attacking team, the best team to watch, has been entirely overdone in the media - I simply don't think it would come up as an issue, at least not to anything like the same extent, were, say, Chelsea or Arsenal to win the league with an impressive goal difference - still I think Man Utd have been more impressive than Chelsea this season. Ultimately, they've won the most points, been the most consistent and assured team in the league, and I agree that they deserve the title despite some controversial decisions.

I didn't see the Newcastle game - 3-1 isn't impressive, but we put out a poor team, and the result is a bit irrelevant for us. I can only offer debaser my most profuse apologies on a job not well done, on a plan of action that failed, and I'll work on communicating better with the club over the summer months - I hope we can mutually benefit one another many a time in the season to come.

Maynor Figueroa impressed me today down the left for Wigan. He was a little sloppy at times, but he's got a vicious shot, marked whoever played on Utd's right pretty well, and got forward to help Wigan's attack.

Steve Bruce did well to learn about this guy.
