We never won the UEFA Cup. This might be our chance. And we need to rebuild this summer. No more "we don't need anyone" bs.

I believe this could be good for Milan, they will do as Bayern did and look to rebuild and spend money in a abid to come back stronger.

Milan had finished 6th in 2000-01, I remember that Inter had finished 5th and our only consolation was that Milan were behind us! In serie A, the top 4 are hardly the same year-on-year. Almost every year its a different 4.

Vieira seems to get a raw deal on here. However I have only been watching inter consistently in the past few months so don't know how poor he was before that.

Today I thought he was easily their best midfielder

Balotelli and Maicon, our best players today. But I would still give teh MOTM to Ibra for the goals.

Don't know what you were watching, mate, Vieira was very average today. I wouldn't mind if we sell him this summer, apart from a few good games lately, he has mostly been a liability for Inter this season.

I appreciate what Vieira tries to do, that he thinks about the game, tries to get the ball down and pass it and spread the play, but I think in general he is too slow on the ball too often now. Today I thought he was poor in the final third - when he received opportunities himself, he would step on the ball or let it roll over his feet; and I don't think he was making a lot of dangerous passes - he was spreading the ball well at times, but considering how Vieira was doing at crucial moments, I think it's unfair to blame the full backs for poor crossing. I agree with bluenine - Balotelli was Inter's best player in his time on the pitch, was Inter's main threat, and provided Cruz and Vieira with good chances that they both missed; and Maicon's crossing wasn't great especially first half, but he was working up and down the flank well.

Vieira was also tripping, or looking to trip too often for my liking when Parma were on the attack.

Can you remember a good cross other than the one Ibrah scored? Crucially he messed up the one I mentioned before. When Vieira chipped it into the box and all he had to do was tap it sideways for Cruz.

Congrats to Inter, deserved title in the end. Caught most of the game, Batolli or whatever his name is looks a great player. Zlatan just had that extra class though. It was a bit like the prem last week the chasing team didn't quite do it, and the team who was leading all the way came through in the end.

They should have allowed more away fans and made the celebrations better.

Actually, both of him and Maxwell were rather poor today.
Vieira was excellent, Balotelli also, Zanetti as usual, and Ibra made the difference.
I think that there's a excellent forward partnership for Inter in the future with Balotelli and Ibrahimovic.

Yeah, Cruz has never impressed me whenever I've seen him playing for Inter. Crespo is one of the best finishers I've seen, but he depends on chances, and he lacks pace now; and Suazo hasn't really shone in his first season with Inter.

Its Inter, they just can't win without giving their fans serious heart and blood pressure problems!!!

Mourinho? Why??????????? I am more than happy with Mancio, and more than anything else, Inter need continuity. We need to build on these successes. The only way to do that would be with Mancio. This is the squad he built, to suit his gameplan, and its working just fine. just a few minor adjustments are required this summer.

Mourinho may be a better coach, but he would want to dismantle this successful project first to build one which suits his game. Why do we need to do that?

I am very anxiously waiting to see Mancio's reaction now. There is some talk about him making an announcement of his resignation after winning, which would be a very sad thing for us. I hope we build on this project and make the team even better than it is now.

If Adriano has got his marbles back, Inter should definitely bring him back, otherwise send him to the nut house.

I'm surprised you're happy with Mancini, Blue9. Inter have hugely underacheived in the CL, Mancini appears to be a bit flaky, especially after his resignation after the Liverpool game, also they need a significant number of new players if they want to win it so why not change the manager as well.

That might now be wise as none of these 4 are true centre forwards.

I think Crespo is as good as gone. Cruz I suspect will stay, more coz he is happy to be 4th or 5th choice striker, like in the past 4 seasons. And he is a very useful sub to have, his goals per minute ratio is brilliant over the seasons for someone who plays 4th fiddle.

Adriano for Crespo looks like the most logical way ahead, but my only problem is that its not a like to like replacement.

Vieira seems to get a raw deal on here.

Probably because of his arsenal past and the way he likes bullying other players on the pitch?

Was actually glad when he gave that c**t couto the taste of his own medicine today; just few minutes into the game he nearly took maicon out of the game(by elbowing him) and I think what vieira did to him was a clear revenge. Would have been sweet if he hadn't returned to the pitch any more.

Vieira was one of my favourite players when he was at arsenal but I think physically he isn't the same any more. He's still a very good player though (very underrated here). I have seen a lot of him since he left us; his season at juve was mixed; brilliant 1st half of the season but poor/inconsistent 2nd half, he was good for inter last season(despite what bluenine would tell u) and this season has been very frustrating for him injury wise but he's been good since his return from injury. He's been Inter's main creative force the past weeks and I'd say one of their best performers.

Gutted. To be 30 minutes away and to see it all unravel, gutting. It was very difficult to watch both matches, my heart was beating throughout and my stomach couldn't handle it - I puked around the 40th minute mark of the first half.

I'll probably make a more in depth post later but now I simply don't feel like it. Congratulations Inter Milan.

    You really think so?

I disagree. I think we need only 2-3 players, and perhaps only one of them needs to be a starter (ie world class player) - the replacement for Figo.

IMO, our transfer strategy should include:

Definately OUT: Crespo, Figo, Solari, & Maniche
IN: Top striker (Adriano?), Top winger (Maggio/Rosina/Mancini/Quaresma), and 1 attacking wingback (Vargas/Konko).

Thats it. And btw, yeah, Adriano is back - his has scored 11 goals already for Sao Paolo in the state championshiop, and 5 goals in 6 games in Copa Libertadores!! Thats pretty cool for 5 months!!!
