Vieira was excellent, Balotelli also, Zanetti as usual, and Ibra made the difference.
I think that there's a excellent forward partnership for Inter in the future with Balotelli and Ibrahimovic.
Cruz's build up play is severely underrated. You always get the impression that he does nothing other than score but he can be a good outlet for the team at times(very good at wining free kicks) and does provide the odd good pass to his striker partner(like the one to ballotelli not long ago). He's no Ibrahimovic but he's no Pippo Inzaghi either.

Inter's big problem is in midfield, not nearly enough flair and creativity. They could also do with a couple of wingers, a left back and maybe another centre half.

Spalletti post game interview with Sky Italia:
What are your prospects Spalletti?
“I have seen a great team, united, and we deserved more than we got today.”
Is there is a pscyhological problem with Roma?
“No, don’t be a clown and make jokes about my team.”

Hence the apparent interest in Hleb.
Materazzi will be a relieved man tonight as well.

I agree with what De Rossi is saying, but Roma should have beaten Livorno and even Catania today.

Over the season, Inter got more doubtful decisions against them than for them. There was so much bullshit said by Juve and Roma fans in Jan when Inter did get some lucky calls, but after that when Inter started getting shitty calls and Juve started getting the lucky calls, people just shut up.
Its strange that De Rossi decides to bring this up now, obviously with selective amnesia about all the decisions that went against us. Great player, but as a person he is shite = no class. Just like his mentor Totti.

Why predictable? Its very rare for Inter fans to clash with police.kas wrote:Policeman injured in clashes with Inter fans.

This is something which was created by some stupid decisions by the authorities... the very fact that the police banned Inter fans inspite of no apparent threat (just to make things even with Roma) was bound to create tension where there was none. There are hooligans in every clubs fanbase, and decisions like these are like invitations for these hooligans to create trouble. I hope the hooligans are dealt with severity.

This is not a good thing as far as Inter are concerned.
Hleb, Quaresma, Adriano, and Rijkaard as coach and they'll be much better next season.

I am sorry, but I think Rijkaard for Mancio will be 2 steps backwards for Inter... As a coach I don't consider Rijkaard to be any better than Mancio inspite of more experience, and the momentum which Mancio has build up over the last 4 years will be lost. At the mo, due to the continuity benefits, Mancio is the best option for Inter. Mourinho will not be better, forget Rijkaard.Jon Stewart wrote:shazlx wrote:Hlebtastic wrote: He's[Vieira] been Inter's main creative force the past weeks.

As for Shazlx's comments on Vieira, don't read too much into them. Some people are looking at Vieira through Arsenal's goggles. Yes, in the last few months we have suffered a great deal on creativity due to injuries to Ibra, Figo and Jimenez. Even then, our most creative player in their absence has been Balotelli, not Vieira!
Vieira has been good over the last two months, no doubt. He has somewhat redeemed himself after 20 months of shite performances. @Hlebtastic, I am not sure how you can say Vieira had a good 2006-07 season - how many games did you see? He was a major disappointment, not just for me, but almost all Interisti were unanimous on that verdict. And he was injured most of this season. I don't think even the most optimistic Interista considers Vieira worth his £8M transfer fee so far, inspite of us winning the scudetti both the seasons he has been here. Coz apart from the last 2 months, Vieira hardly contributed towards that success. Our success (before these two months) has been INSPITE of players like Vieira/Solari/Cesar/etc, rather than because of them. When dacourt was fit, he was clearly higher on the pecking order than Vieira, thats how Cr@p Vieira has been...
We all are hoping that Vieira builds on his performances over the last 2 months, and has a good season next year. If not, that will definately be the end of his career, at least at Inter. Two months ago, most Interisti (myself included) were hoping that Mancio would sell him for scrap this summer. Now I would like to give him another season to contribute to the team, he has started showing the talent coz of which we had signed him.
But just in case it doesn't happen, I hope Inter sign a quality DM/CM. Coz most likely Vieira will play well for France this summer, and come back to Inter with injury issues.

Congratulations Bluenine. A deserved scudetto.
However the above stats show more the petty biases of inter fans rather than how well a player played. Vieira was excellent today. I could understand ibra scoring higher because of the goals, and balotelli, but no-one else.
