@Portuguese - the reason a large percentage people in England may not like Portugal is Ronaldo, pure and simple.

It was quite incredible how he managed to fit england in there who were knocked out of the competition months ago. Some agenda's will just never die. Puro is secretly gutted his main source of moaning is gone over the summer

- Ricardo
- Deco (best diver in football)
- Carvalho (great defender, but boy does he cheat )
- Nani - Has modelled his attitude on ronaldo. Enough said
- Players falling over at every touch


But you are right. Ronaldo by himself is reason enough

Nope that was Scolari incompetence, some bad luck and a top finishing by the Greeks.

I just hate the way they play and all teams that rely on others mistakes and are ultra defensive. And most of all their style is effective so they have no reason to change it.

Germany - Obviously. It's been ingrained in me since '90 to hate seeing them win things.
Italy - I have Italian friends who get smug (this I learnt in '06). I hate smugness.

No-one else I'm too bothered about. As an individual, it's hard to want to see Ronaldo win, but at the same time, Portugal are well overdue a win in one of these tournaments so I think they deserve something to show for the last decade or so (would've been nicer to see them win in 2000 with Rui Costa, Figo, etc.)

France have had enough success in recent years for me to prefer them not to win it, but I wouldn't mind if they do.
