One of my favourite players but there were no challengers to Tevez today. Could not have dominated so convincingly without him. ManU play so much better without a poacher.

I thought many players had a shout, Fletcher and Scholes did really well also. Think Sky just gave the MotM to Scholes (well to Fergie to give to him).

Pompey fell into the stupid trap lots of teams do when they put a big man upfront, punt to him. Crouch is much better with the ball at his feet, and they would be better for doing so.

Where are Portsmouth's goals going to come from ?

Without Muntari and Kranjcar there is no creativity.

Are there any 2 english strikers that would be good enough for a Prem partnership ?

Depressing but no.

Heskey and Owen is the best but Int'l football is not as good as a good domestic league.

Defoe and Crouch are both OK with a decent import but together ?

Good enough against the likes of Andorra but they won't trouble top EPL sides.

They would be decent if someone plays the ball to their feet regularly. Both enjoy interplay and Defoe is woeful at hinging off shoulders of defenders, he's forever offside.

Anyway, Fletcher FC are up to 5th place with 4 points from 2 games. Not a disastrous start.

4 points after 2 games isn't bad at all given the players out. Though pre-season I'd of expected us to beat Newcastle and draw away with Pompey.

The worry now is the next two games. We could have 5/6 points after 4 games and it wouldn't be because we've been shite either.

You have an excellent record at Anfield and could use 'containing' tactics against us.

& a shite record at Stamford Bridge.

Though obviously a win at Anfield and a loss at Stamford Bridge is better than two draws.
