Sorry this is off-topic but some of these are awesome:

    http://pagespro-orange.fr/jb.oury/belges.html

    and there's this one:

Des Belges arrivent au Canada pour faire un vol de banque; alors la nuit ils rentrent tous dans la banque et ouvre le coffre fort. Ils regardent et se disent «Des yoghourts ils se fichent de nous ! ». L'autre dit «On va manger tous les yoghourts, alors ils vont être fâchés demain ! ». Alors ils mangent et trouvent ça délicieux. Le lendemain on peut lire dans les journaux « La banque du sperme a été dévalisée ! »

A good goal by Valbuena(he can really twat them from distance) after some tasty footwork from Diaby.

Very nice play from Diaby and good goal from Valbuena. Did watch the game but read articles, which said that Ribery played on the left side which is his favorite position. Good at last that Domemech let him play there. Whereas the left side played well (Evra-Malouda-Ribery) the right side was not terrible (Sagna-Gourcuff-Govou). Not really a surprise though.
Valbuena scored the winner for his first appearance. He is going to do a Ribery (2006)? Who knows!

There's a French football web site that imagined the French team (against Norway next month) without all the world cup players.
    It would look like that:

    Landreau-Fanni-Rami-Ciani-Tremoulas-Sissoko-Cheyroux- Nasri- Remy, Benzema, Menez

    Subs: 12. Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal)
    13. Philippe Mexès (AS Roma)
    14. Christophe Jallet (Paris SG)
    15. Aly Cissokho (Lyon)
    16. Nicolas Douchez (Rennes)
    17. Lassana Diarra (Real Madrid)
    18. Yohan Cabaye (Lille)
    19. Sylvain Marveaux (Rennes)
    20. Jimmy Briand (Lyon)
    21. Kevin Gameiro (Lorient)
    22. Guillaume Hoarau (Paris SG)
    23. Olivier Sorin (Auxerre)

Lots of potentially great players there. This team would have certainly done better int he world cup.

Has there been any indications of what Blanc's plans are for that friendly in terms of dropping the players that let the country down in SA? I'm rather pessimistic that Capello will make changes to England aside from bringing in a few younger players like Rodwell but I would like to see how other nations resond to their own failures.

I think Koscielny said he would take his time in deciding between France or Poland, anyway we have to see if he has what it takes first.

I "hate" France - first they are a disgrace at WC, and later because of that they are calling up Koscielny for a new NT, destroying chances of him playing in our NT Grr

He was not directly involved in Zidane's goal against Italy. You have to applaud him for his dive against Portugal though ok

He was not played as a traditional target man anyway, just as a lone striker, which gave him a bit more freedom than he previously had (when he was playing off Trezeguet). He can't have any complaints though, he was never good enough to have an international side like France to be built around him.

:Stats: In the 2006 WC Henry was playing an unfamiliar (previous to that year) role as the lone stinker. Playing as the TM, a role he is unsuited to, Henry still was very important to his team reaching the final. His importance can be seen in that he was directly involved in every goal France scored apart from the three vs Spain and the first goal vs Togo.

He sacrificed a lot of his natural game for his team. A team that has always played conservative structured football.

He was not directly involved in Zidane's goal against Italy.
Yes he was. He provided the knock down for Malouda to get the penalty.

    Therefore he was indirectly involved.

No, the original goal scoring opportunity was Malouda's which Henry created.
