Laurent Blanc has annonced he will be the new French coach, not a surprise but a good news though.

The defense looks shaky right now. Actually the best player that could play in CD is Toulalan. He did that for Lyon several games and he was great (except against Bayern)

    France Provisional 24-man squad:

Goalkeepers: Hugo Lloris (Olympique Lyon), Steve Mandanda (Olympique Marseille), Cedric Carrasso (Girondins Bordeaux)

Defenders: Bacary Sagna (Arsenal), Patrice Evra (Manchester United), William Gallas (Arsenal), Eric Abidal (Barcelona), Sebastien Squillaci (Sevilla), Marc Planus (Girondins Bordeaux), Gaël Clichy (Arsenal), Anthony Reveillere (Olympique Lyon)

Midfielders: Lassana Diarra (Real Madrid), Alou Diarra (Girondins Bordeaux), Jeremy Toulalan (Olympique Lyon), Florent Malouda (Chelsea), Yoann Gourcuff (Girondins Bordeaux), Abou Diaby (Arsenal)

Forwards: Thierry Henry (Barcelona), Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea), Andre-Pierre Gignac (Toulouse), Franck Ribéry (Bayern Munich), Sidney Govou (Olympique Lyon), Djibril Cisse (Panathinaikos), Mathieu Valbuena (Olympique Marseille)

Those that have been dropped include: Mickael Landreau, Rod Fanni, Adil Rami, Yann M'Vila, Hatem Ben Arfa and Jimmy Briand

It's a 24-man squad because Domenech will allow Gallas a bit more time to prove his fitness before the first warm-up match.

Yeah Cisse definately went, I remember the media making a big deal that the French squad in 2002 had the leading goalscorers in Ligue 1, Premier League and Serie A in their squads. Cisse obviously finished leading scorer in France that year.

Gallas started ball work yesterday, he has a week to prove his fitness.

    Where is the creativity?

Hello, we used to have likes of Pires, Zidane, Djorkaeff in our previous generation.

Gourcuff, Ribery and Malouda. I say "shite" is how they have played for France last few years, esp after Zizou left. At least in Malouda's case, he is in form of his life.

Malouda is playing like his last season for Lyon. For France it's a nother story. I don't remember him play well for France.
Yeah there's no creativity in this team. That's why I would have liked Ben arfa in the team. I think there will still be the same problem since Zidane left the team, which is no link between the midfielders and forwards. It's going to be pathetic.

what is the real reason the joker domenech is still in power? Has a blackmailed the french fa? Has his wife somthing to do with it. Mostly i'm not a fan of sacking a trainer because 90% of the sackings is at least debatable

But sacking domenech would have helped france chances a lot.. Ale

The French federation is old & stuborn, just like politicians are.
They would have never on earth made a change before the W.C, although they had this idea in mind 2-3 months ago, but decided not to go for it.

Of course they should have, especially after the trashing we got against Spain. The funny thing is that Escalette (the boss of the FFF) said France better play well during the friendlies or drastic changes would happened. Nothing happened. Bunch of old fukers

I have some Mexicans friends that saw Domenech's list and they are thinking that with this team they will trash us, which is fair enough. As for Domenech I don't even want to talk about him he such a c**t. I have never dislike anyone like him before.

Lass is out the world cup because he couldn't stand high altitutes. He is not being replaced. lol! lol!

Le onze probable contre le Costa Rica :

Lloris - Sagna, Gallas, Abidal, Evra - Toulalan - Gourcuff, Malouda - Gignac, Henry, Ribéry

Kind of interesting formation as it is very attacking with Gourcuff, Malouda, Gignac, Henry and Ribery.

Come on Henry you can do it m8...... you can get injured!

    Yep,

Raymond could try a new system in 4-3-3 :
    Lloris
    Sagna - Gallas - Abidal - Evra
Gourcuff (Pirlo role) - Toulalan - Malouda or Diarra or Diaby
Gignac or Ribery or Govou - Henry or Anelka - Ribery or Malouda
