Liverpool are awesome but we wont win the league this season.

Our squad isn't as strong in depth as it has been in the past, even if the first team is better.

Dossena might take a whole season to become the player we signed, or may flop completely. Aurelio is too injury prone to play a full season and Insua is raw and untrusted.

Hyypia is finished and the injury to Skrtel means we can't afford to lose Agger or Carragher.

Degen is awful, and he's injury prone.

Plessis is a very poor man's Sissoko, he needs to get on the steak, as does NGog and I don't know what Lucas thinks he's upto.

Keane might take a whole season to settle in, or flop.

Benyanoon and Pennant aren't good enough.

We can't afford an injury to Reina, that Brazillian guy is shite.

Apart from that though everything is rosy cheers

    Gaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!

You can't say that. If we're lucky with injuries we might be ok, and it doesn't matter if Keane is shite because Torres is brilliant. With Reira offering us another dimension and Kuyt starting to have days where he isn't totally shite I think it's looking quite promising...I'm optimisic.

Benyanoon and Pennants shittness isn't a major problem either as Rafa hardly ever plays them if our best players are fit...same with Lucas aside from a few late sub appearances.

We probably won't win the league, but there's a decent chance we will. We're picking up points at places we wouldn't usually and against teams we're usually shite against.

Dont think Torres or Keane work that well same type of strikers kind of both like to play off the last defender , leading the line type of players , Keane isnt a AM/SS to supplement Torres. What are peoples opinion here ?

Missing an open net several times is not about playing in the wrong position or having the wrong partner. Torres wasn't on the pitch when Keane fucked up yet another easy chance.

My opinion is that his level was Spurs and I thought he was decent there. He might end up with a few goals still this season but he was a huge rip-off at 20 million.

    NEVER! Evil or Very Mad

Keane's main problem is actually his variety & movement, because of this, he's having a real hard time carving out his own niché within the side. When He wants to drop deep, Gerrard is already there. When he wants to pull out wide, Kuyt is already there, when he wants to run off the last defender, Torres is already there. He got a lot more freedom with us partly because of Berba, but also because our midfield was quite uncreative when he was there. I'm syure he'd have similar problems with Modric here as well.

Keane and Torres can play together, Keane and Gerrard can play together, but I do have doubts about whether or not Keane and Torres and Gerrard can play together.

Not sure what DS is on about though tbh. He sounds madder than a window most days and today is no exception.

They have barely played together(or at the same time).

People need to remember, while Torres was out.. Keane was leading the line on his own while... being injured.

I think they really need a run of games together to work on a partnership because I think they will struggle to make it work despite both of them being top footballers.

I'm not defending Keane as such. He has missed chances, that are impossible to miss from. He needs to do the simple things if things are not working for him. In this moment in time things aren't happening.

I feel sorry for Keane in someways. Rafa constantly subbing him must be wrecking his head

The guy is clearly still trying to his place in the team. There is a thing called, trying to hard, needs to get back to basics and try to keep a cooler head. If he cannot he should be dropped. Besides the missed chance I thought his all round performance was better at the Reebok.

I'll reserve judgement for till after Xmas. But I hope he does realise that if he'snot doing the business he'll have to settle for a place on the bench.

Keane, Gerrard, Torres can play together, if Babel plays from the left... he will drift in allowing Keane to pull out to the left as well, effectively taking him out of Gerrards space and giving him some instructed additional movement, i saw glimpses of this early season when Babel was more regular in the team. With Riera playing i can't see this working, so perhaps with Riera in the team we have to play Torres up top alone with Gerrard supporting.

BTW. Don't know if anyone has seen the Yossi interview today telling Rafa to pick him or he's off.

I thought Yossi said not long ago, that it doesnt bother him. That he realised he would be on sidelines alot but he understood the situation and was happy about it.

Not one Red, would lose any sleep if we was sold.

We are doing very well in the league and things are realtively calm off the pitch in regards to Rafa and the owners, espically when you compare to this time last year. We don't these twatty moaners in our team possibly disrupting the team.

    He can go ok

Hes far too irratic to cement a first team place, he either accepts playing a bit part role... or he can go. Ale

With him and Pennant out of the picture, it would leave us in an ideal position to try and sign Valencia for example.

Fulham on saturday - i'm looking at it and thinking this is a perfect opportunity to get the goal difference up a bit. Chelsea will almost certainly get the 3 points at home to newcastle and you'd also think they'll be scoring a few goals as well, every time they win by 3 or 4 and we only win by a goal we're making it harder on ourselves. I can see things being really close at the end of the league so we need all the goals we can get if not to try and match Chelsea then to stay well ahead of United and to a lesser extent Arsenal.

I do think Chelsea will win the league but second place would be a hell of an improvement. Automatic champions league qualification would be a fantastic change to having to play the dreaded qualifier, as we saw this season they are no easy games sometimes and one mistake and you find yourself playing an unknown team in Eastern Europe on a thursday night.

I think this is a perfect game to unleash Torres on the Premier league again. When he came on at Bolton he looked as if he'd never been away, his chip for Gerrard's header was absolutely fantastic and you could see in the celebration that Gerrard knows when Torres is on the pitch things are so much easier because he's just pure class.

I wouldn't rest Keane though. This is an ideal game for him to get a few more goals too, we can't be playing one striker up front against Fulham at home - no disrespect to Fulham here but if we were to fail to win this one it would be extremely dissapointing.

    ----------------------Reina----------------------

    ----Arbeloa------Carra--------Agger---------Aurellio--------------

    -------------------Gerrard--------Alonso-----------------------------

    ---------------Kuyt--------------------------Riera--------------------

    ---------------Keane-----------------Torres--------------------------

Gerrard will obviously be bursting forward to link up with the front men, I don't think we need Masch in this game personally.

Look it's very unlikely to come down to goal difference. And Fulham could easily get something of you. thinking of 4-0's is a bit disrespectful and somewhat arrogant to say the least.

If after 16 games you're going result to result against Chelsea and thinking they will win so we have to then you will have a heart attack a bit to soon.
