such a bad time to play Spurs, I posted in the Liverpool thread a few weeks ago that I was fearful of this game as Spurs would probably be turning a corner after the Bolton game and the derby.

We should have put this game out of sight before the subs, the belief Spurs have now even though the game looked out of reach for them you could never rule them out.

Undeserved defeat but we've had our share of undeserved wins this season.

Torres back next week though Ale

Bolton go bottom - although they can put Newcastle there with a draw tomorrow.

Makes it all very close at the top too. Villa can close to within 3pts with a win Monday Wink

For a sense of perspective, away draws so far against Chelsea and Arsenal for Spurs and now a home win against Liverpool. Depends how well Spurs do over the next couple of weeks, but in 4 fixtures time they could well be within 5 points of Arsenal, they may still even have half of a chance of finishing in the top 4.

Redknapp is the only surprise. Tottenham were always capable of beating Liverpool or getting a point or more at arsenal.

I mean it shows Tottenham can play football and pass it around with the best. But when it comes to maybe the other side against more pyshical teams they struggle a little more. So maybe a few tougher players around.

There was a time a few years ago when Man Utd needed some, unfortunatly fergie thought that meant alan smith and heinze. But in the end Rooney and Vidic sorted that out at either side of the pitch. Last year when successful everywhere, tevez maybe not muscle but agrressiveness and hargreaves same thing added to that. Plus Ronaldo beefed up. Not a direct comparison just an example of what i meant.

    WHAT?

In the first half Pool didn't push for a 2nd, with just 1 goal in it Spurs were always going to come out and step it up in the 2nd half. It was typical Rafa. Ale

Yeah Rafa told them not to push for a second goal
    Laugh

We hit the post/bar 3 times. Spurs rode their luck. We have rode our luck at times just like any team.

    Well done Spurs ok

In the first half. ok It's not the first time this has happened, often Rafa is more obsessed with "controlling" a game and stifling the opposition than he is scoring. Chelsea and Man U would've finished this in the first 45. Ale
