Not sure if we've had this discussion before, but who are the players who have won the most team trophies (both int'l and club) in their career? Super Cups, etc. are fair game, but no counting pre-season friendly trophies like the Ajax tournament, for example.


Was reading an interview with Edmilson and realised he had won quite a bit (taken from Wikipedia):

That's an incredible 16 titles, including the big two - World Cup and CL. No Libertadores, but he did get the Recopa Sudamericana, which I think is like the UEFA Cup equivalent.

Giggs has won all domestic titles and european titles apart from UEFA cup and any international titles

Ahh, yes, that's a good one...most of the Man. Utd. players of the late 90s will probably be up there because of the numerous league titles they have won, and to go with that there'll be Super Cups and 2 CLs. FA Youth Cup doesn't count.

amazing when you also look at his list of honours as a manager (12 titles). This guy would have been the ultimate winner, if it hadn't been again for the fact he was runner up as a manager 10 times as well!!! So 1st or 2nd combined as a player and manager 68 times!

Cafu doesn't need to count runners-up medals and the last one is not a trophy. His trophy haul is impressive enough without that.

And what about Zidane?

Are Super-Cups, Community shields really worth much? I mean it's basically a bonus one-off friendly game when you've won another cup.

WC, Continental Cups, CL/Copa, Domestic League, Main domestic cup should be what counts, to my mind...
