Schweinsteiger scores from a tight angle. Bayern had already wasted at least one great chance before the goal, and Stuttgart's defence look a little rusty after the winter break still.

    edit: 0-2

I shouldn't have been so kind as to call them 'rusty', they've just been shit.

Saved from even further embarrassment by Lehmann saving Ribery's penalty. Says a lot about the state of the match though that Ribery just tried to chip it down the middle (where Lehmann stood up and just caught it).

That was never a penalty. When you fall, you automatically put your hand out to break the fall, damnit. Good thing nothing came of it. Take that, Monsieur super-arrogant.

0-3 Luca Toni. Nice warm up for Bayern ahead of the resumption of the league campaign. Don't think I'll bother with the second half, this has been a non-contest unfortunately.

Sorry, but yes, of course our playing is shit, yeah, of course the game is pretty much over now... But there is no need to rub it in that way.

    Thanks.

And excuse the emotional response but I think seeing my team like that justifies not being calm and reasonable for once.

    0-4

Another penalty I think, although I switched the stream off.

    -----------

    0-5 Ze Roberto.

Every time I check the English scores on livescore I notice a new Bayern goal. Stuttgart seem to have capitulated tonight. A worrying sign because they didn't appear to be playing an especially weak side.

    Not an especially weak side?!

Magnin is out, we had to field Bastürk as a striker... Our midfield is still as weak and "uncreative" as before.

I mean you have Lehmann, Osorio, Tasci, Khedira, Hitzlsperger, Hilbert and Gomez all playing. It's hardly as if you've stuck a load of youth team players out there. If you had then this wouldn't be so bad obviously.

Names aren't everything... And don't take individual crises of form into account. I agree, on paper, it looks okay, but considering how certain players performed before the winter break...

call him a DIVA and you are spot on

he is driving the Bayern bosses crazy now

and seems to be out of control

in Abu Dhabi he hijacked the Bayern team bus (with the players on board) and drove around the hotel a few times, crashing all sorts of traffic signs

the hotel was furious, and almost certainly Hoeness as well

on the training pitch, he had a mini-fall out with Klinsi who was refereeing a practice match

Ribery believed somebody had fouled him and wanted to get a free-kick but Klinsi asked them to play on indicating that Frank should have passed the ball far earlier anyway

Ribery lost it , and marched off to the bench to sulk; Klinsi could not get him back on until Lahm and van Bommel persuaded the diva to cave in

a few weeks back the Bayern bosses declared their unconditional love to Ribery at a restaurent

a few days later, now knowing how highly he was rated by the club officials, Ribery demanded more world class players in the press, pissing off Dummenigge and Co

Ribery suggested to get Frey, Toulalan, Gourcoff... thereby implying that Rensing... were not up to it

reminders that this should be done INTERNALLY had little effect

then he pointed out that he loved Real Madrid...

previously, when Hitzfeld had played him on the dreaded RIGHT side, Ribery almost refused to play at all

Frank is the kind of player who would be razed to the ground by Löw and indeed also Klinsi , if he was GERMAN

he gets special treatment (just like Toni) because he is considered to be THE star

increasingly becomes an insufferable c**t though when things are NOT going his way

hilarious clown though when 70.000 fans celebrate him as a genius

    then he starts to purr

Bayern should sell him this summer for BIG bucks

otherwise they will lose him on a free in 2010, I think

Yesterday's penalty attempt aside (which was more than just stupid against one of the best penalty savers around Doh), I am wondering why Frooonck is still allowed to take them for Bayern. It's not the first time that he missed a penalty this season, his penalties in general aren't that dangerous and well-placed, so why not let Schweini, Lahm or Klose take them... Question

    Anyway...

I also liked the funny (though for him painful) moment when Gomez got nut slapped by Lanig after his goal.

HASE!!! Hug Frohes neues and such.

Have to agree, Franck has taken some good ones, and it is a bit clichéd to take the "if you've got a German let him take it" attitude, but yes. Klose is a bit rubbish at penalties I think, but my surmise is that Poldi is the best penalty-taker at the club, followed by Schweini.

That was an enjoyable moment for Jens fans, which we had to make the most of given that there was little else to cheer.

DS's comment certainly raised a chuckle Laughing
