He's saying they're not amazingly clinical. Which is true.

Can't remember seeing him miss many for Liverpool but for Atletico he was one of the worst in regards to being clinical. Because he always got chances but he missed so many. It is better now though.BoBo Vieri 32 wrote:COTR wrote:Tweedle wrote:Well if we're talking about converting chances into goals, I'm not sure Torres should be in there, or Eto'o. Agree with what you say. So it is should be a chances to goals ratio that decides it.Tweedle wrote:COTR wrote:Tweedle wrote:Well if we're talking about converting chances into goals, I'm not sure Torres should be in there, or Eto'o. Pato should be though.
Well his pace and movement make him a hell of a lot of chances. That's why I think it shouldn't just be based on 'goalscoring' ability - which if we're using FM speak is 'finishing'

Every single one of them.

Except for one

JDG might not have done.

If I had to make a top five right now I'd say Villa, Eto'o, Torres, Diego Milito, and Forlan.
Who's better, Bendtner?
Ibrah, Berbatov, RVP, Pato and possibly Benzema are all better than Forlan and Milito

None of the following should be mentioned: Adebayeour, RVP, Huntelaar, Drogba etc. None of them are playing to their best of their abilities.
Right now: (In no particular order): Eto'o, Villa, Forlan, Torres, Zlatan.
Football Genius wrote:With his wh0pping 9 goal return, who are you trying to kid Tweddle?
RVP would not make 10% of people's EPLXI this season.

9 goals, 7 assists. That's about as good an assist/goal record as you'll find.
If you look at his record in the past three seasons in the EPL it reads played 57, scored 27. That's not too far off a goal every other game, which is a pretty damn good record hactually.
Tweedle wrote:57 games IN THE EPL
I did specify in the EPL.
I'd love to see Gerrard manage 57 games in the EPL one season.
The question was the same one that hovered over Ibrahimovic which is whether or not you can learn to become a good goalscorer(clinical). Ibrahimhovic has shown he can be trusted to be consistent with his scoring since in other seasons he also got several penalties but I don't think he has scored many this season but still kept a good level of goals.Tweedle wrote:We all hope that Rooney can make the step up. We all know he's capable of it. He's been on fire for England recently. Capello seems to have finally got the best out of him, in an England shirt.

What is most important is that Ferguson gets the most out of him and this is something I have yet to see. What I wonder here is if it's because of Fergusons tactics, which at times have accomodated Ronaldo more then Rooney or if it is simply a case of Rooney not fulfilling his potential.
