I don't remember a season where so many players having made their debut for one club, moved to another in January. Certainly not as many high profile players.

Which recent flops do you have an eye on for your club next year?

Could Steve Bruce work his magic on Afonso Alves and turn him into a striker?

Is Borja Valero the answer to Arsenal's midfield crisis?

Will Karren Brady let Xisco see her thong?

Giovani dos Santos almost moved to Portsmouth in January, but I wouldn't mind having him in the summer if he's going cheap, ditto David Bentley.

Nothing wrong with Xisco glenn, the guy has been written off by some simply for not playing. He's being called a flop based on the judgement of Joe Kinnear!!!

Beggers can't be choosers Kimbo, both Bentley and Dos Santos would command a place in your first team midfield

perhaps Bentley is one of those players who needs to be the star man, but I'd happily spend every penny we get for Pennant on him.

dos Santos has got to be an improvement on El Zhar.

I agree, but then so would Kieran Richardson and Phil Neville, i would still rather go for someone better.

I don't really see how BOTH Bentley and Santos could play on the right wing, but it would be interesting to see.

well Kimmy I think dos Santos made his name at youth level as a second striker or a free roaming midfielder. I don't see him as a right winger in the EPL mainly because he is left footed and can't shoot straight. He's probably best used as Arsenal use Vela, a similar player in a left wingforward role. You could easily fit him and Bentley in the same team, even if their positions were the same it is ok to have 2 players for a position.

Putting him behind Martins isn't a bad idea, but i would still probably go with Lovenkrands over the little gobshite. Certainly wouldn't walk in.

Arshaving

Jimmy Bullard is beginning to look like a waste of time and money for Hull isn't he? Could be seriously bad for them as they'd obviously hoped for a big impact from him to keep them safe. Roy Hodgson is a very clever man.

And pretty much everyone Spurs have signed (except Modric) and Liverpool too.

I'm pretty sure Glenn's right about this one DS. If Pennant's contract was up in the summer then they'd have flogged him for whatever they could get in January, and there must have been some dumb team (Pompey) who were willing to spend a couple of million on him.

Bentley wouldn't really solve the Kuyt problem though.
