Ahmed Hossam heeft spijt van zijn definitieve overstap naar Tottenham Hotspur een jaar geleden. De oud-Ajacied wil weg.
'Ik ben ongelukkig bij The Spurs', zei Mido op de Egyptische televisiezender Al-Mehwar. 'Het was een grote fout toen ik definitief tekende bij Tottenham. Dit is de eerste keer dat ik dit vertel. Ik weet dat dit tot problemen kan leiden. Maar het is de waarheid en ik moet het zeggen.'
'Ik had veel mogelijkheden', keek Hossam terug. 'Ik kon terug naar AS Roma, dat een groots team is en als tweede was geëindigd. Roma-officials smeekten me en ook mijn zaakwaarnemer Mino Raiola wilde dat. Maar ik besloot tegen alle adviezen in te tekenen bij Tottenham.'
En dus kreeg na anderhalf seizoen als tijdelijke kracht te hebben gewerkt op White Hart Lane de overgang een jaar geleden definitief zijn beslag. Maar sindsdien zit Hossam meer op de bank of tribune dan hij aan spelen toekomt.
De 24-jarige Mido ziet er weinig heil in zijn nog vier jaar doorlopende verbintenis uit te dienen als er niets verandert. De Egyptenaar moet Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane en Jermain Defoe voor zich in de pikorde dulden. 'Als ik een goed aanbod krijg speel ik volgend seizoen ergens anders.

Mido has regreted he ever signed for the Spuds, he even says it’s the worst decision he made in his life!!! He is saying that he wished that he stayed in Rome, cause that was a very good team, much better then Spurs according to Mido. If he finds a new team, he is gone he says..

Fair enough, I always thought he was an overrated c**t anyway!

Interesting how his star has waned - mainly due to Berbatov arriving I guess. Before he signed the permanent deal with Spuds I thought there were rumours that the big 4 might be interested.

I am sure spurs regret signing him more, he is overweight and doesnt do anything. I am sure Spurs wont miss him.

To me, there's no doubt when he's fit & focused, he's a qaulity player.

Just the getting him fit and focused...

Never imagined this season would be so bad for him.

I think the main core to this is that he isn't better than Dracula, so next season will be the same for him sitting on the sidelines, and subsequently not being match fit and focussed.

I reckon so, Mido will disrupt the dressing room and kill team harmony. WE have a moral obligation to buy Dracula and Spurs have an obligation to the rest of their squad to sell him for 6 pence and Richardson.
