I think he'd comfortably make the top 10, not sure about the top 3 or 5 though.

Slightly ahead of Henry, but behind at least half a dozen others, probably more. The fact he's fucking off before reaching his peak puts even Frank Lampard ahead of him in the EPL player history stakes, and you know what I make of Frank Lampard.

Well he was here for six seasons and three of those seasons he was world class for. I'd say somewhere around 5th/6th. The players above him are there because of longevity though.

He is the best player to have played in the premiership.

You can put Henry, giggs, bergkamp, keane, zola etc etc. While they all were great players none of them won world player of the year and not only that he should have won it a year or so previous as well. He played in the premiership when it was at it's strongest and he dominated it more than anybody else for 2-3 years. Henry v Ruud Keane v Vieira but Ronaldo v who? he was in a league of his own true story.

However his career is finished.

Not really. Phil Neville won lots because he was just about good enough to be a squad player in the best team in the league, like John O'Shea. Le Tissier won fuck all because he was the star player in a team who were lucky to stay in the Premiership each year.

Besides which, Henry came to Arsenal when they were a rising force, Ronaldo came to Man U at the start of their worst period in recent memory. Ronaldo won more in less time than Henry, during a period when the league was of a higher quality.

By ANY reasonable measure Ronaldo>Henry in the EPL. Pretty similar players in most regards, particular when it comes to their faults, but Ronaldo was better.

I'd say top 20 and he'd be in with a chance of making a team of the last 17 years.

He wouldn't make my all time prem XI, he might make a top 10.

I'm glad he's leaving the Premiership, people say how his skills will be missed, but bollocks to that - where's the fun in watching one man shooting at every opportunity, his ballooning free kicks which might aswell be hit and hope toe punts (give me a Beckham swinger anyday), one player hogging the limelight over his harder working and equally talented team mates, and that's of course before taking into account his pathetic petulance.

And to compare a player like Zola and all the joy, skills and honourable qualities he brought to the game here is a disgrace.

Don't care if he was voted FIFA footballer of the year, he is not half as sublime a footballer as he or fans and players in footballing hotbeds of China and India seem to think. An incredibly selfish player who I'm just surprised managed to get away with it at United for so long. Penalty taker, free kick taker, top class wanker.

Good riddance, he will fit in perfectly at the Madrid Media Circus. The people who will miss him most are North West Hair Gel manufacturers who he alone kept in business for 6 years.
