FT can't begrudge Espanyol the victory but you have to wonder how bad the other young defenders are if San Jose got the nod in an otherwise Premiership strength starting XI.

Approx 34, although it may be closer to 60

last season SAF gave some unknown 18 year old brazilian some games at rb in preseason. the rb did so well that he became a key player for the first team that season.

I'm sorry COTR but Batman is right to discount Insua as a youngster so he is, it completely invalidates his point otherwise so it does.

Benitez clearly has no idea of the importance of developing young players, hence why he has only signed 5000 since taking charge, and just a handfull of his products while youth coach at Real Madrid went on to hold down a place in the Spanish national side.

Instead of signing a top quality RB last season, SAF put his faith in Rafael.

Liverpool signied...
