Yep Dildo rated him. Well he couldn't be wrong about all the players he wanted.

Do agree on Castaignos should have been tried beforehand.

I'm not as happy with Been as I was preseason & think he shouldn't have gone public with his opinion on Makaay, but think he's right on Makaay. Even if he's brought on as a sub, he's not showing lots of energy/commitment.

After 309 signings he was close to a good one then, shame he got fired Eredivisie 2010/2011 - Page 27 F_biggri

I started getting sceptical about Mario after a few matches already, he reminds me a lot of van Basten with his tactics. 442-433-451 He tried it all. If Vlaar and JDT werent injured last year Verbeek would still have been a coach. He actually made Fer, Biseswar etc better. Something I can't say of Been. And it has not been a suprise at all that we get more points away then at home.

Of course Makaay has been dire, but he hardly gets any decent balls and you cant demand from a 35-year old to keep pressure on the opponents defence for a whole match, certainly cause he never did this in the past. Remains a gentleman in the media though.

    Agreed on all acounts ok

I really would have liked Verbeek to have been given a chance to play with just the Feyenoord youngsters (like he wanted to), would have been great for both Feyenoord and Dutch football in general Ale

Been made us better defensively, last season every other counterattack was a goal. The main problem I've with him is that he rather plays crap wingers with a lot of pace.

I hope you are also cynical about Been. Wink

If been cannot manage feyenerd then no one can do it. I'm affraid sparta will be no 1 in rotterdam again if you guys want to sack him....

I do not want to sack him. No matter how crap we'll do, Sparta will never catch up with us. The best they can hope for is staying in the Eredivisie.

Like axe said Verbeek would have been excellent with such a young group, the oldies got what they want last year, Verbeek out and Been puts them on the bench as well. The problem with Verbeek is his communication with older players, media and staff. A combi between Been and Verbeek would have been the best.

Guzman, yes our defensive record last year was a disgrace, but that was without Vlaar. Sure Verbeek was the worst coach ever in terms of points but I doubt Been would have done better.

Mario is just lucky to get 4th place cause JDT and Vlaar are here now and that teams like AZ, Heerenveen and Groningen are doing worse. Almost every won match could have gone the other way as well.

And next year is gonna get even worse with that salary cap. And they made the seasontickets 25% more expensive. It's not easy being a Feyenoord fan! Never was, never will be.

But..tonight we are playing with 7 guys from our own academy, which is a good thing since watching your own homegrown crap>>>foreign crap.

Ricki, I dont want Been gone, its just I rather have kept Verbeek. If this was the EPL a team like Feyenoord would relegate, but this is Holland and with the likes of ADO and Sparta we dont have to worry about going down..yet.

I guess the city will be barricaded because Rotterdam mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb is not strong enough to resist the Amsterdam lobby.

Seriously, this will get out of hand, dont forget that there will be riots in both cities after the match. Doesnt matter if one win or lose so police needs to be there as well.

And this might be the only time till 2014 supporters might visit each other, so some will try to get the most out of it.

There are always going to be members from both fanbases that feel the need to get violent. This is not something that will ever change. If they want to get to together 2-3 days before hand and fight, or wake up at 7 am and fight in some alley, they will find a way. These individuals also tend to be banned from both stadiums, so I think its pointless to punish everyone. Not everyone is like that. They just needed a reason to create a ban and offcourse they found one.

Its like I always say, if you are scared. Then stay home. The possiblity of watching the scum of the earth lose in their own stadium, and watching my team lift the throphy? Wouldn't miss it for the world. Blush

Ajax supporters obviously can't behave, you know that on before hand .

If you can tell and convince your aggrassive ajax fans they have to behave then you are allowed if i were in power...

but the thing is you always cause problems. It doesn't matter where you go, to deventer, Eindhoven, utrecht, den haag, enschede or rotterdam. All you caused riots in the last couple of years..
