Milito cost about EUR 22M, while Motta cost about EUR 8M plus Acquafresca plus Bolzoni plus Meggiorini plus Bonucci. So that would be about EUR 12-15M. Its all speculation, as official figures have not been disclosed. I bet Inter overpaid, as usual.

Zarate's transfer could be included here, I think he cost Lazio about 25M euros.

Benzema is 35M euro. If he wins the ballon d'or or fifa POTY in the next four years Lyon gets 2M. They also get 1M for each CL we win in the next four years. Actually nvm they're getting 41M!

And of course strikers should score. But I want more than that. The modern game demands more than that at the highest level.

For all my Tranny Torres piss taking, even if he scored at 60% of his current Liverpool rate, He's still be valued very highly. Why?. Because he's still a danger with his channel running, ability to carry the ball whilst beating players, & more than decent hold-up play when he doesn't score.

The funny thing is that for rating Mario Gomez, watching him play a few matches for Germany in a major tournament seems to be sufficient, while for Klose, the same criteria doesn't apply.

Gomez did look absolutely useless in the Euros though. That can't be denied.

Klose would've still impressed me with his Kuyt-like qualities even if he never scored all those headers in WC 2002.

Yep, he's always left me with the impression that he's a hard worker, with an awkward but effective dribbling style, regardless of whether the goals are flowing or not. If he turns into mark Viduka in games I don't see, then this is the 1st I've heard of it
