The Huntelaar to Spurs thread

The one transfer move of this summer that everybody on the EMB wants to see (purely because of TS' hatred of him) is getting closer and closer to reality

First the rumours yesterday that Huntelaar has rejected Stuttgart, and now this, from Redknapp himself:

"The lad is a very good goalscorer and I'm still interested in him," said Redknapp.

"I know of Stuttgart's involvement but I'm hoping we will still be able to do something.

"There's a lot of talk about who I may or may not be after but Huntelaar is the one I like."

Good for them, Huntelaar is a good striker (provided you use him right), but his behaviour so far has been scandalous.

I rate him at the same level as Toni & Crouch but the beanstalk would suit us more.

Negredo has terrific promise and has the attributes to be an EPL success, but you won't swallow your pride and amit that Madrid have actually produced a good Cantera.

Bottom line - WE NEED MORE FROM OUR "9" THAN JUST GOOD FINISHING.

Nothing to do with that...I'm not saying he's a bad player. Note my numerous comments to the Madrid fans saying they shouldn't have bothered with Benzema because Negredo-Higuain/Raul is a good enough starting pair.

What I mean is if you're spending 15m, IMO Huntelaar is a better and safer investment for a Premier League club than Negredo.

Possible. 'Arry being 'Arry, might sell Pav-er to bond with Arsha, and get Hunter to feed on Luka's. In truth, Huntelaar should move to Arsenal and linkup with Van Persie, the first choice pairing for Holland.

I don't get Redknapps determination to buy Huntelaar. We don't need another striker and certainly not a priority. The 4 we have are definetly adequet for the coming season.... Whilst I am not saying Huntelaar a bad striker or anything, but if we end up buying him and selling Pav, than that would be a disaster...

Exactly, the Spurs need a striker that is able to score 2 goals in 8 games and is usefull in relegation games!

With Huntelaar the Spurs wont go to the next level!! Though milkbox wont bring Spurs to the next level either!

All I ever remember saying about Darren Bent is that he'll score goals, I was right.
