There's plenty of time TS; you can get him later if not now, when he's older and worse.

Has he signed for someone else? I thought he was still up for grabs.

Or is TS thinking that because Spurs have brought in Crouchinho that Huntelaar wont be coming?

Im pretty sure Crouch is the replacement for Pav. Huntelaar will replace Bent.

Or Crouch is the diversion to enable 'Arry to shrewdly drive down the price of his real target Huntelaar.

Ahh right....Well if we have now missed out ont Huntelaar, how season is now doomed Sad

On a serious note, Huntelaar is a decent player and as a Striker very clinical. However most fans objection, well my objection to this Transfer simply is, we don't need a striker full-stop, even with the Crouch signing, the money would more wisely spent on a left winger/CM/C-defenders, which are more of a priority than a striker. Irrespective of how we played in our pre-season matches, I think the current strikers will do a decent job for us next season.

Thats the reason for my objection...

Maybe...Maybe not. It may just be the case that D.Bent will leave for Sunderland. And thus leaving the remaining four to fight for the 2 spots in our team. (Yes, I cannot see the players being happy to sit on the bench, especially with no europe)

Defence is your big problem at the moment as Woodgate, King and Dawson are all unllikely to start the season and you have makeshift partnerships in central defence, which can't be good. That should be the priority and perobably is as Huddlestone is not cut out to play there.

Serious questions TS: who do you prefer Bent or Huntelaar? Don't you need the option of a goal-scorer at least among the four strikers? Harryis interested in Huntelaar and even put a price on his value of £15m-£17m. How much could Bent be sold for?

    Spurs willen Huntelaar

    cheers

I'm sure Huntelaar would be a good signing for us.

We might as well face it - 'Arry doesnt fancy Pav. He was the same with Bent ; when Arry don't fink somebody's a top top player, he ain't half bad at hiding it

("My wife could have scored that" he said in the interview after Bent missed that sitter against Portsmouth. Before and after mentioning we had 2 points from 8 games)

Yep that's why he played Benjani week-in week-out at Pompey and let him have an amazing record of SEVEN goals in his 1st 45 apps, before he finally had a good run of goalscoring form. This is also the guy who bought David Nugent for £6mil and decided within a month that he didn't fancy him.

Because Nugent is shit, TS..and he didnt have any other options other than to keep using Benjani, who is also pretty shit.

Is that what you want? You want Benjani? A man who is average at everything apart from scoring goals where he is abysmal?

If he could've bought Huntelaar when he was at Pompey, I have a feeling he would have.
