If he is left out of the team for that reason, then he's definitely gone.

    No

They could have a great team if only the Professor would spend some money.

Song and Denilson to continue their midfield excellence

That's what i was saying in the Arsenal thread. If Wenger bought a keeper and a great CB and Dmish player. They'd be looking good especially if they kept Adebayor. But instead he's gone backwards. We'll see it'll be interesting to see how they do.

Moyes should just take the £20m. This situation isn't going to get any better and the longer he waits the easier it is for Man City to dictate terms

This is pathetic from Lescott if true. Poor little him, so pampered and selfish, that he can't concentrate on playing football with the possibility that he won't be getting an extra £80,000 deposited in his bank account every week.

Although, if he really wants to make a point, he should personally ensure that we score two or three goals today and force Moyes' hand. Whistle

    - Lescott wasn't even that great last season
    - £20m is at least 5-7m more than he is worth
    - There is plenty of time to bring a replacement in
    - The guy is kicking up a major fuss. That cannot be good for morale around the club in any way.
    - Scouting departments work all year round. They will have plenty of targets who can do an adequate job.
    - It is going to happen eventually (even United and Liverpool couldn't stop the Clearinghouses from getting their way) so I suppose his only other option is to keep him until January to make sure he can spend all the money

Maybe Moyes wont be a pussy though, and he'll just tell his player to shut the fuck up and play. Would be a nice change.

I dont see who they'd get in to replace him really. If there was someone he'd accept the cash easily.

as I pointed out, why not let him play against arsenal, it can only be good for man city if he gets a header from a corner and makes arsenal drop a few points (he's hugely overrated apart from that)

To be fair to Lescott, I would be doing the same thing in his position. If he plays he weakens his hand and that amount of money is just too good to turn down. He probably thinks he has to take the chance now or it may never come again

Not a brilliant team for us, but should be solid at least. Would've started Dudu, at least gives us options on the bench.
