About the same as you, he was signed by Athletic last year but started the season on loan. Came back in the January transfer window so I saw him a handful of times in the league and then also in the Copa del Rey run. Initially he struck me as a Kuyt-like player - more effort than skill but he's got a pretty good cross on him and creates a lot of danger with his pace. Still not a great finisher from what I've seen.

Interesting to see both Albiol and Sergio Ramos in the XI. It's a big opportunity for Benzema as well to try and get back on track.

I don't understand why we're playing with 2 DMs against such a defensive team in the Bernabeu. Pellegrini should get it out of his head that Gago can be an Alonso replacement. While they're not direct replacements, the team would benefit more from having Granero or even Guti, especially in games like this.
