Don't be a bellend BM.
I is rather gutted about this one I must admit. Pretty clear after all the fuss about France, Portugal, Argentina etc who the biggest star missing from the tournament will be.
Many congrats Otto, I guess even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
So cuntbag, what's it to be? I'm yours...

This is going to be like one of them moments a newspaper uses forever when it's tipster gets 7 out of 7 horse winners correct, ignoring the other 364 days they got 0 out of 7. Still you were spot on and it's never easy to pick an upset. So kudos

Congratulations. You got this one spot on old boy.
That nicely evens out your prediction
that England would be no more successful under Capello as they were under Mclaren, which unsurprisingly, you've kept quiet since
There's still the predictions that
Podolski would become the number one megastar of football,
that Wayne Rooney would be washed up by 21,
that Sebastin Vettel would HUMILIATE Button and Co,
and of course - that Germany would be World Cup Champions in 2006,
which all went a little awry, and which, unsurprisingly, have been swept
quietly under the carpet with a limp wristed excuse.
But let's not take the sheen off your achievement on this occassion: you've managed to marginally redeem yourself, and I'm happy for you

Capello has done NOTHING for England
if you remember correctly, England have more often than not qualified WITH EASE for major cups
the litmus test is the World Cup itself
where Capello's England will get knocked out against the first decent team
probably in the QF

Sorry Otto, I don't have the technial ability to "do a Saints" and carve up your post into nice manageable portions,
so lets do it this way
1) Your prediction was that Capello would be NO BETTER than Mclaren, because ultimately it was down to the quality of the players (or lack of, you insisted) playing for the three "lambs".
Fast forward a year, and Capello has led England through with games to spare, including a 4-1 and 5-1 HUMPING of the same Croatia side that, under Mclaren, beat England home and away.
In other words, you fell on your ARSE with this prediction, and are now ATTEMPTING to change the goalposts to whether Capello will actually ACHIEVE something or not in the World Cup proper. Very naughty
2) Podolski might well be scoring plenty of goals for Germany whilst not doing it at club level, but will the German Peter Crouch EVER become THE World's most recognisable MEGASTAR, as you claimed a mere 3 years ago?
The day he overtakes the likes of Beckham, Kaka, Ronaldo and Co. as the most ADOURNED poster boy of Football all around the Globe, I'll gladly bow to your Mystical Mayan Powers of Prediction.
Right now, the boy could walk down the streets of 95% of the World's major cities, and no one would bat an eyelid
3) Rooney OUTSCORED Miroslav Klose in the WC qualifiers,
only second to Gekas, and who ONLY outscored Wazza because he TAKES his team's penalties.
Not a singe one of Rooney's goals in World Cup qualification was a penalty,
and included 3 against Croatia, a team sat in the top 10 nations of the World.
Not bad for someone who was supposedly washed up 2 years ago
4) Vettel has NUMEROUS chances to capitalise on Button's poor third of the season, and yet he BLEW it as often as he blew his many engines.
In the end, it was a HUMILIATION that with such a fabulous car,
the young German put up about as much of a fight as Boris Becker in a Broomcupboard
5) You blamed Klinsi, you now blame Low - at least you're learning not to put your money on Germany these days

Except for, er, 2008 (failed), 2006 (went down to last game vs Poland), 2004 (went down to last game in Turkey), 2002 (last min goal vs Greece), 2000 (required a playoff), 1994 (failed)...and so on.
This is the first qualification I can remember that has gone comfortably!

it's about having the COURAGE to not only talk the talk

approaching a GANG of 100 ghetto kids
singling out ONE OF THEM
and telling him
CAMLY
but
FIRMLY
that he'd better
LEAVE YOUR GIRLFRIEND ALONE
OR ELSE

it's about SCORING the all-important PENALTY in front of 100.000 HOSTILE FANS

and
MAKING IT WORK

I only browsed through 11Freunde (apart from reading the Horst interview)
it's probably no must-read
the Hrubesch thoughts are quite interesting though
just wait a few months and they will have them online
there is one moment which just indicates that German football/society has down DOWNHILL
Hrubesch asks his U20 (or 21) players to brainstorm and come up with a LIST OF WHAT's IMPORTANT to them, what they should bear in mind and look out for
he is really looking for VALUES, a mission statement, something like that
yet the BOYS immediately think of a BAHVIOUR CATALOGUE with respective PUNISHMENTS FOR INFRINGEMENTS...
nobody is thinking big
they are as streamlined as it gets
like I said a MILLION times already
sons in laws
Opel drivers
Pantoffelhelden, die nichts falsch machen wollen
Hrubesch is SHOCKED
and in fact says that he HOPES they break the (non-existent ) rules from time to time, WITHOUT getting caught , like HE DID when he was a player
the important thing is, he believes, that the players are fully fit when it matters and give 100%
that they LEARN FOR THEMSELVES to take responsibility...
Hrubesch's key philosophy has always been to LISTEN to the players and make them think for themselves
they are almost part of the decision making process
rather than following instructions like under van Gaal
MÜNDIGE FUSSBALLER
Hrubesch treats MEN like MEN who find solutions themselves on and off the pitch
they repay it BIG TIME

There is NOTHING more to say, Ottito! YOU CALLED IT! I sincerely did not see it, and I am able to see quite a lot.
Hiddink is one Dutchie that I rate, but he failed with the slightest pressure put on him. Great coach as an underdog, but always seemed to fall short eventually losing a semifinal, and this last experience not making it to the WC as the clear cut favorite.
