COTR #6 wrote:Everton goal: To call this a lucky goal is a bit of an understatement, but Everton won't care. Leighton Baines curls over a free-kick from the right, and it comes off John Terry's back under a challenge from Louis Saha, hits a post and rebounds of Petr Cech and over the line.

Everton goal: Seconds after he comes on to replace the injured Jo, Yakubu is on the scoresheet. After the mother of all goalmouth scrambles, the ball hits Ricardo Carvalho, who is on the deck, and falls for the Nigerian to slam it past Cech from about six yards out.

Everton goal: If you think Everton's opener was lucky, wait until you see this one. Didier Drogba tries to nod away a cross from the left, but nods the ball against Louis Saha's head... and it loops over Petr Cech and into the net. Everton are level... again.

Sounds like Chelsea are having a fun day Premier League whopper weekend 12/13 December - Page 5 Icon_biggrin

1642: Another chance for West Ham. Alessandro Diamante sees his free-kick fizz narrowly over... and reacts by ripping the front of his own shirt to shreds in frustration.

If Defoe scores that pen last week they win today. Top 4 was there and they've fucked it up. Stoke and Wolves at home...0-2 leads..ridiculous. But that's spuuuurs i guess. Glad im not TS..and glad i don't support spurs as well.

One day Mikel will hit a shot from 30 yards and it'll fly into the top corner. Still been our best defensive player today. Ale

L r dd wrote:Yeah but Chelsea's defence aint all that. Cech is a good keeper but he's now prone to a howler or two and he's not as great as we thought he was. The rest are all good names but from Carvalho to whoever they make mistakes and are not unbreakable. Man Utd went to stamford bridge and should have won just a few weeks ago. They were always going to thrash Wolves so what's changed here.

In the next few weeks Chelsea go away to Arsenal and Man City. After those games the table could look very close, and im sure everybody will have changed their opinion again.

If Chelsea won both of those which they more than likely wont...then all this Chelsea hype would be justified.

Having more possession does not mean "should have won". When Barcelona came to Stamford Bridge last season, they must have had about 65% of the possession, and were by far the better team on the night in terms of the quality of football, yet their first shot on target was in the 93rd minute.

When Man Utd came to Stamford Bridge this season, the overall quality of football was better, yet the only shot on target you managed (to my knowledge at least) was an ambitious curling attempt by Rooney from 25 yards out.

11 clean sheets from 16 games isn't a bad record for an 'error prone' goalkeeper and a defence that is also likely to make mistakes.

My words three weeks ago..spot on as usual. LRDGIC

Sets it up nicely for the 5.30.

Man Utd can go joint top or Villa can go 3rd Crazy

I'm not liking this run of form for Brum. They're level with Liverpool now!

Man Utd: Kuszczak, Fletcher, Brown, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Anderson, Valencia, Giggs, Park, Rooney.
Subs: Foster, Owen, Berbatov, Welbeck, Obertan, Gibson, De Laet.

Aston Villa: Friedel, Luke Young, Dunne, Cuellar, Warnock, Ashley Young, Milner, Petrov, Downing, Agbonlahor, Heskey.
Subs: Guzan, Sidwell, Carew, Delph, Reo-Coker, Beye, Collins.
Nice to see Kuszczak playing again as VDS replacement.
Putting Heskey instead of Carew just proves again that O'Neill is a disgrace Doh
I'm surprised to see Villa playing 4-4-2 with Milner and Petrov in the middle, quite attackin.

Yeah. I'm interested to see how this new look midfield works. Haven't really seen any of Downing yet.

Heskey's probably going to be a better bully of possibly unfit defence & Carew can come on later to pummel them more.
