Goater. What do you think of Barry now that he has been at City for a while, I feel it was a bad move. I always considered one of his mains strengths being a team player on the left linking up with well now he seems lost to me.

Re: League Cup Semi Final
timing of this fixture and it's postponement could be crucial, it was originally to be played during City's winning streak and following United's defeat to Leeds, the tables are turned after City's defeat will Mancini mess with his (previously) winning formula? Will the confidence be shattered? I'm interested in seeing the line-ups to see how much continuity the sides have and if Fergle trusts Gibson, Fafu, Welbeck etc or if the big boys stay on.

Must have been a conspiracy to help Man Utd get into the final of the only trophy they have a chance of winning this season, eh?

City's schedule was simply easier after Mancini's takeover, with fixtures against Blackburn, Wolves and Boro (?). They were capable of winning these games without some of their key players and with a new manager in charge. The first time they were really tested against a good side was against Everton, and everything caught up with them. I think it's good that they are not walking into this game with United with only wins under their belt, they know that they have to do to improve on their mistakes from this past weekend and continue to build on their strengths. I don't think City will win this game, but I hope they do as well.

Re: League Cup Semi Final
it's trite to suggest that Mancini's first few fixtures were easy, they were easier than they could have been, but still competitive fixtures.
Certainly a home game against an inexperienced and injury ravaged Manchester United side could be put in the same bracked as home games against lower mid-table sides.

In future, 'yes it's on BBC1' would be a sufficient answer

If SWP, Bellamy and Tevez all start it could be carnage !
Do away goals count ?
I know they scrapped them for the playoffs but not sure on this.

Re: League Cup Semi Final
Yeah they count.
Thing is Pierre our back up full backs are rafael and fabio, one is better than the first choice and the other would be if it were anyone bar evra. Most important thing is they have pace and can easily match Bellamy and SWP.
Vidic i hear is playing as well. I don't think it matters who plays for City this games means to much to them i can see them being to rushed and making mistakes.
1-3 is my prediction.

I think they only count if equal after extra time. I always forget if that's generally the case

Suppose. Looks more like Anderson will be an AM in this match. Bar the two CB's that's possibly our best team to be honest.

Re: League Cup Semi Final
well Dixon's ex-Arsenal and a Man City fan, Hansen hates Fergle because he left him out of the Scotland WC squad. Can't remember why Shearer hates them but he's doing his best to appear impartial.
Don't know why the bbc have to ply us with these pointlessly sentimental montages as if football only exists when it's on their channel and we wouldn't know what had been happening otherwise.
