Bollocks you were mate, you sang just after you scored but not for that long and then didnt hear a peep out out of you all during the second half.
Your away fans are generally not bad (as are most away fans) but at Old Trafford the atmosphere is terrible, its not even load on derby day the only ones that try to sing are the ones next tothe away fans. 3k of us normally outsing 73k so on wednesday 9k will do it no probs.
That does tend to happen at most grounds though - ticket prices so expensive these days, so many of them going to corporate wankers, families go to home games and rarely away ones - away fans are almost always louder than home fans.
Heart is hoping City win this one as it may divert their attention away from 4th place and the league.
However, can only see one winner tonight. City's away form is pretty abysmal, and United will be pumped for it.
United to win 3-1

Giggs with a ridiculously heavy first touch but Given stays firmly rooted to his line and Giggs is able to regroup and set up Scholes to score

You're finally learning the game, COTR!
Given's a terrific shot stopper, with awesome reflexes, but doesn't command his area. Never has, and never will. Still ten times better than any current English goalie.
Surely Mancini's taking note, and will sign a goalie in the summer along with replacements for Bellamy and Barry. They're not gonna win you a damn thing and Mancio knows it.

It was a tie where I didn't want either side to win, so I'm probably less disappointed than most on here that Man Utd went through. I think this will mean less to them than winning would for City, it gives them another game to be preoccupied with, and it makes Gary Cook look like even more of a dick for his boasting after the first leg.

And also, you'd have to think it would be a bigger thing for City. First cup final in eons, whereas for Man Utd it's just another pretty minor cup.

Yo Pierre! I rate Bellamy, decent player, BUT not consistent enough for a club with HUGE aspirations as this new Citeh.
IF Bellamy can sustain good performances FOR A WHOLE SEASON, then no problem. I know he can do it-good player he is-, but his track record betrays him. Can he finally have staying power? He's got 3-4 years of good football, it's all up to him. I'd take Bellamy any day in my team over Joe Cole for example. Can Bellamy do it the entire season though? I know he can.

Not if you're 5ft 9 it isn't.
Oh sorry, I meant 6ft 2
L r dd wrote:Just watched highlights. That VDS save was something else. Richards could not have hit it any better and right in the top corner. If Foster was playing thats a goal and the whole dynamic of the tie is different. Shows what a big difference a good keeper makes in every single game. Rio bringing calm and being able to pass the ball from the defence adds 20% to other areas of the field bar the defence as well.
Bellamy is the biggest twat in football. I rate him as a footballer but fucking hell he never shuts up. Karma works pushed a Man Utd fan in the face(while he was being held by two stewards of course) and then got his yesterday. Looked like a prize muppet slowly dropping to his knees and crawling, shame the flood of bottles didn't hit him as well.
I don't mind Tevez really. He gives his best for whoever he's playing for just a little simple and can be naive or stupid in certain comments. Nice elbow on him by Rio as well

Kimbo wrote:I think he should've come out for the 3rd goal, the other two he can't be blamed for though. To make out like he never comes for crosses though is either dishonest or ignorant IMO, it's just not true.
