On the flipside, Wolves just haven't risked enough to deserve to win this. Doyle has worked admirably hard, but with no support. If they'd taken a chance and put on a 2nd striker (if they have one!) with half hour to go, might've got the breakthrough.

Mascherano should really learn to pass.

He doesn't need to - he's already the best defensive midfielder in the world just for running around and kicking people in the ankles.

You beat Spurs 2-0. Man Utd 2-1 without Gerrard. Looked ok against Stoke for the most part also(for Liverpool's standards)

I have sat through almost every minute of our season and this was pretty much the same as 90% of it.

This was as good as it gets for Liverpool aside from the odd lucky goal

Not seen the game, however by all accounts - we apparently played woeful with Gerrard particularly bad.

What appears to have frustrated most pool fans was the fact we needed a goal and Benitez only made one sub, N'Gog for Riera who apparently was our strongest player tonight.

As i said, without having seen the game and only going on others opinions who saw the game, it looks like Benitez has dropped a clanger here, from the starting line-up - an unfit Gerrard who played awful and stayed on, no Aquilani who has in his last couple games shown promise, 1 sub made when the whole attack was awful when players like Babel, Aquilani and Pacheco on the bench to change things.

Understandably Liverpool fans are dissapointed if we are going to a place like Wolves with the intention of just picking up a point.

    Sort it out Rafa!

Same. They were just sooooooo uninspiring. Didn't create anything or threaten to create anything. Only possible chance of a goal was a set piece, but they were generally miserable too. Defensively pretty sound - Kyrgiakos probably the best player - and they didn't lose, but still they've kept up that rather bad tendency not to follow up big wins in the following fixture/s..

    Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham
    Wolves 0-0 Liverpool

    Villa 0-1 Liverpool
    Stoke 1-1 Liverpool

    Everton 0-2 Liverpool
    Blackburn 0-0 Liverpool

2 conceded in the last 5 is progress from earlier on the season - that's the platform and the attacking side of things will come together when Riera, Torres, Gerrard and Johnson all come back in and play together.

I'd say Aquilani too but Neutral

Does your tits in doesn't it?

a.) Keep a winning team out
b.) Use your options to help change a game

Its not rocket science, Rafa has to accept blame for this poor result. By not changing things he in effect accepts a draw is enough.

Didn't you rate him fairly recently? I distinctly remember you calling him "class" last season when they were in form...

Anyhow, in a strange way I want to see Barca ruin their midfield by replacing the true best DM in the world with this impostor. The midfield could become as bad as Madrid's...
