No excuse for not getting Aquilani on tonight, poor showing this.

On the flipside, Wolves just haven't risked enough to deserve to win this. Doyle has worked admirably hard, but with no support. If they'd taken a chance and put on a 2nd striker (if they have one!) with half hour to go, might've got the breakthrough.

Mascherano should really learn to pass.

You beat Spurs 2-0. Man Utd 2-1 without Gerrard. Looked ok against Stoke for the most part also(for Liverpool's standards)

I have sat through almost every minute of our season and this was pretty much the same as 90% of it.

This was as good as it gets for Liverpool aside from the odd lucky goal

Nah Debbie, it's City who everyone should fear.

Not seen the game, however by all accounts - we apparently played woeful with Gerrard particularly bad.

What appears to have frustrated most pool fans was the fact we needed a goal and Benitez only made one sub, N'Gog for Riera who apparently was our strongest player tonight.

As i said, without having seen the game and only going on others opinions who saw the game, it looks like Benitez has dropped a clanger here, from the starting line-up - an unfit Gerrard who played awful and stayed on, no Aquilani who has in his last couple games shown promise, 1 sub made when the whole attack was awful when players like Babel, Aquilani and Pacheco on the bench to change things.

Understandably Liverpool fans are dissapointed if we are going to a place like Wolves with the intention of just picking up a point.

Same. They were just sooooooo uninspiring. Didn't create anything or threaten to create anything. Only possible chance of a goal was a set piece, but they were generally miserable too. Defensively pretty sound - Kyrgiakos probably the best player - and they didn't lose, but still they've kept up that rather bad tendency not to follow up big wins in the following fixture/s..

Nah you couldn't. They were shite in all of them bar spurs which wasnt outstanding. And everyone had the same opinion on the Defoe goal. Crouch was a pen for me for sure.
