No surprise that Arsenal are starting with Sagna and Eboue, hopefully that will nullify Bale's threat. I'm actually surprised Bentley isn't starting. I know Vermaelen and Campbell ought to be a good pairing for dealing with crosses, but I would have thought Bentley's deliveries would cause us plenty of problems.

Big game for Broadway Danny Rose. Where's he play, centre mid?

Villa unchanged
Thought he might at least put Delph in, to freshen it up a bit..

Rose is a left winger, or left centre mid. But likely to play out right today, will be left footed on the right side if he does.
I guess the team can be lined up different as well though:
Pav - Defoe
Rose - Kaboul - Huddlestone - Modric
Bale - King - Daws - Ekotto
Either way there'll be some players out of position
and wrong footed

Watching Villa and Everton. Good game. Two of the consistently better teams in the league. Still can't understand why those Dubai Sheikhs picked Man City over Everton. Man City and Spurs feel like interlopers.

Clearance off the line from BAE. Strange one, there didn't seem to be much on the ball, but Gomes wouldn't have saved it.
Arsenal have had the better of the opening exchanges and are keeping the ball well.

Great opprtunity for Pav though. Completely unmarked 8 yards out, but his shot was weak and blocked for a corner.
What a goal from Rose. Almunia's fault though, he could easily have caught the corner but punched it straight to him. Fucking hell.

Look forward to Redknapp taking the credit for that then, what with his inspired move to pick Rose after 3 or 4 other midfielders were injured/suspended

I am sorry but Almunia so should have saved that. It went straight through him.

Arsenal don't want to take the ball inside the Spurs box today. Unfortunate that we let in such an incredible (but defensively sloppy) goal because we've started well otherwise. And now Vermaelen looks injured. This takes the piss.
He's being taken off. Silvestre and Campbell, if Spurs can't break their league duck against us tonight they never will.
