Having a team from outside the big 4 in CL won't be great - United, 'pool, Chelsea and Arsenal have lots of experience of playing CL and EPL and even they find it a struggle.
Spurs would do a Real Sociedad/Celta Vigo.

He was better last season. Still hoping he would regain some form. Croatia have suffered in their world cup qualification because of his absence by injuries, but also because of lack of form when he played..debaser wrote:Modric was good what I saw yesterday, but he's not been on great form otherwise. His league stats are 2 goals, 3 assists. Not particularly great for a player in his position, even if he has had injuries.
He has 3 in EPL too (Hull, Bolton, Everton)Pierre Littbarski wrote:3 EPL assists - isn't that 3 times as many as Arshavin has ?

I cannot BELIEVE you just put Song and Essien on a parallel.

Wigan: Kirkland, Gohouri, Watson, N'Zogbia, Moreno, Bramble, Rodallega, McCarthy, Melchiot (c), Diame, Figueora.
Subs: Scharner, Scotland, Moses, Gomez, Sinclair, Boyce, Stojkovic.
Arsenal: Fabianski, Diaby, Sagna, Rosicky, Nasri, Walcott, Silvestre, Clichy, Campbell, Eastmond, Bendtner.
Subs: Van Persie, Vela, Mannone, Eboue, Traore, Merida, Henderson.
Looks like a pretty awful team from us. Might go out and enjoy the sunshine rather than watch this if that team is confirmed.

Correction - Modric has 4 EPL assists (Liv, Ful, Wigan and Sunderland)
Lennon has 9 in EPL

You mean you can't rank a footballer's worth accurately using nothing but statistics/data like the Castrol Index or Carling Opta
Are you seriously trying to tell me that Henry wasn't the best player in the world as recently as 5 months ago ?

With Denilson and Song out we don't have much option for DM. So what's wrong with Manuel?
Why won't it be great? For once we will see a team outside the big 4 strut their stuff and that will be refreshing. They might as well turn out like Villarreal who went the semis in their first Cl season allthough they finished 7th but im sure their fans enjoyed that adventure.Pierre Littbarski wrote:Is weird that Spurs have got these results without Palacios!

He similar to Iniesta in that he deeper he plays, the more responsible & conservative he is.

Sandro's coming in the summer, so we'll see what effect that has. 'arry's definitely looking at ways that we can be more flexible tactically.

I think Almunia may have played his last game for Arsenal
Can dream anyway...

@ Super Madrid Leeds also did the same thing. Think it's very possible for Spurs to do well in the CL.
