I said any International games are usually very dull as they're usually pointless friendlies during the club season. I love World Cups though as the players actually want to be there and win, what's hard to understand about that?

Was Wenger crying during his interview? I'm sure I just saw him wipe away a tear?

Nah he wasn't, it's probably best anyway that we finished third. Hope the situation just gets addressed in the summer.

You don't have to hate Lennon. In the past i have been laughed at on here for daring to compare both N'Zogbia and Milner to Lennon, now I think i'm in a good position to be feeling pretty smug, that's all.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson revealed Wayne Rooney moved to make sure Vincent Kompany wasn't sent off in yesterday's dramatic derby win.

Rooney was back after an ankle injury and United carved out a number of chances but were unable to convert any of them until Paul Scholes struck.

The England striker looked frustrated and was replaced in the second half by Dimitar Berbatov. That came shortly after he was left rolling on the floor following a challenge from Vincent Kompany, which saw the City player booked.

Rooney suddenly recovered, then raced away and Ferguson said: "I asked him why he got up.

"He said it was because he thought Kompany was getting sent off so he jumped up. Then the crowd booed. It's a cruel world."

Didnt you say that you werent really arsed about world cups and such? Or at least England in the World Cup, so loads of us advised you to go and watch some England World Cup games in the pub out with your mates so you'd understand the buzz?

His post match comments were actually honest for once. It isn't nice seeing him look do evidently hurt after a game, part of me thinks he deserves it for being so damn negligent with certain aspects of our team.

I'm not going to talk for Man Utd and Chelsea but we've only made baby steps this season and quite frankly it isn't good enough. Yet when the opposite happens. ie. Arsenal score all these late equalisers or winners, everyone praises their "mental strength" and fitness (rightly so) but doesn't account for the possibility that the other team also let things slip, just like Arsenal did yesterday.

The Barça game is the perfect example - in all the excitement about Walcott etc. almost nobody (apart from me and some other Barça fans/match reports in SPORT/MD) talked about how the Barça players had already made mistakes after the 2nd goal: they began easing off, let the defensive line drop deep, and became careless with their passing.

I understand that it's partly explained by the fact that Arsenal repeatedly pull off last minute heroics this season, so there must be something more to it than just several of their opponents messing up...but the lack of respect for Wigan is quite surprising IMO.

2-0 up with 10 minutes to go when you're a title chasing team against a side who are midtable at best and won only 1 of their last 11 premier league games - questions have to be asked as to how Arsenal found themselves losing 3-2. As far as i'm concerned one of the more gifted players in the league fucked them for 10 minutes, ofcourse they will make excuses and look at their own players, that's what you do when you lose.

N'Zogbia's problem has always been mental, he has often been too selfish and individualistic, i've always said this. He can shoot, cross, and can take players on, but the mental side is what's stopping him from being TOP class. All young players have weaknesses, apart from Lennon ofcourse.

On the corner, it was clearly the plan to put the ball in that area and swarm the keeper knowing that he is a bit shit. Call it a blunder if you want, i call it good planning also.

So you're praising him for putting Pulis/Allardyce (2 managers that you've been massively critical of) tactics into practice

Lennon is a clone of Jesus Navas (vice versa)and Charles N'Zogbia is an Arjen Robben type of player.

C'mon WHam

I have only seen Aquilani play for Italy twice. He didn't do much against Spain (but at least he could defend) but he was good against Brazil at the Emirates. Much better than the awful Montolivo. I don't know if he harboured any hopes of the World Cup but he must have next to no chance with the way Benitez is treating him.

Going by the teamsheet it is going to be another 90 minutes wasted watching Liverpool play shit football but maybe Wham will be kind and allow Ngog to look like a world beater.
