I want to complain about that team but the alternatives arent much better. Pachecho definitely should have been on the bench though.

The commentator just said you can clearly hear the calls of the players over the crowd noise. And they call Emirates a library

Are there many empty seats at the ground? Not taking the piss, but there are usually loads of Irish supporters at Liverpool games, and it can't be easy for them to get there with the travel restrictions.

Can you blame the crowd. After a season of mind numbing shitness, Rafa decides to use a dead rubber game to inflict a Kuyt / Ngog partnership upon them.
I'm giving up on this one. Wake me up when Aquilani and Babel come on.

Pachekkkko doesn't make the bench.
Pacheco, not too long a go, help spain to the uefa U19 finals, so i don't see how he could have made the bench.

I'm sure Luis will agree but the atmosphere has been poor for a long time now except vs ManU, Everton and CL(depends on team).

Most Irish get the ferry over so it shouldn't have been a problem.

This could be the start of Liverpools big turn around this season.
Did they not beat Man Utd a few times this season? Seems like a long time ago now and of little use.

No-one bothers to mark Greek man and he misses a free header from two yards
Then Gog scores.
Liverpool could be 3 up despite being very subdued.
I was happy with Upson in the England squad as 3rd/4th choice before, but in my defence haven't seen Ham for a while. If this is typical of how he's been playing, I pray he's nowhere near England team in the summer.

Why are the West Hams booing Benayoun so much?
Surely they get that any of their players would have left them for a big club like he did.

Don't you remember how he left? Rio & Joe Cole usually get a good reception. But Defoe and Yossi don't because they acted like c**ts in how they went about it.

Signed a new contract and talked about how much he loved the club then left shortly afterwards. Something like that wasn't it ?

Didn't he just say he wanted to stay before he realised Liverpool were interested? It's not like hes going to say "west ham til i die" or something.

Benayoun moved to Liverpool under controversial circumstances. He had verbally agreed a new five-year deal with West Ham in May 2007, only to go back on the agreement in a bid to move to Liverpool.[13] The controversy was heightened on 10 July when the Israeli media reported that Benayoun's agent, Ronen Katsav, had agreed a deal with Liverpool which would mean Benayoun taking a lower pay than the £50,000 a week offered by West Ham in May.[14] On 12 July, Liverpool FC reported on their official website that the signing of Yossi Benayoun had been completed a £5 million deal with him signing a four-year contract.

If Liverpool can be bothered in 2nd half they could win this 5 or 6, W Ham looked pretty well lost as soon as they conceded.
Big game for Ham vs Wigan next week, and they could well have the opposite confidence going into it, with Wigan high on their magical turnaround at Arsenal and Ham fresh from a thrashing (of course, getting ahead of self here - Ham could yet do what Wigan did. It just isn't looking likely)..

From what I remember, he linked to this pic in his Benayblog
and said it was him as a youngster. Said "Once a person who enjoys often blowing bubbules, always a person who enjoys often blowing bubbles".
Then his Dad was all
"Liverpool are interested..mo' money, about the same trophies probably. The bubble fans will kvetch but they're all schmucks. You've got the chutzpah to play for Liverpool"
and off he went.

I see Rafa decided to give Degen some valuable minutes of the pitch. These could prove vital to his future development.
