Re: Your transfer wishlist : Summer 2010
In: Javi Martinez, David Silva, Dani Parejo, Cissokho
Out: Gago, Guti, Diarra, Metzelder, Drenthe, Raul
My list is pretty much the same as the other Madridistas here. Javi Martinez to play alongside Xavi, Silva for obvious reasons, and Parejo to return. I included Cissokho because I think we need a better LB and he fits the bill. Filipe would've been my first choice before his injury and I'd also be happy with Monreal or Luiz.
For the outs, Gago and Diarra with Lass staying (though I'd be ok with Gago staying instead of Lass). I think 2 DMs is all we really need. I chose to include Guti and Raul in my outs because I thinks its time for all sides involved to move on. I know Guti's played pretty well this year but really, he's going to be 34 and its time that others play those minutes. He's had plenty of chances and never really seized them and its time to give Parejo and Canales the chance.
I've excluded Canales because I think its better for him to get another full season at Racing before he comes here. I think the playing time will ultimately benefit him more than learning from the bench at RM.

Yeah he is awesome, but still hasn't completed a full season in 2 years, but is still widely regarded as the best U-20 defender in all of spain.

Re: Your transfer wishlist : Summer 2010
I expect few changes at Spurs
But ideally:
IN: Micah Richards (cover for both centre back and right back - offers more pace down the right than Corluka in that position and when Lennon isn't playing), Mesut Ozil (can dream, would give more creativity in the middle and allow Modric to stay on the left), Hulk (gamble, but reckon he's do well in England as a foil for Defoe)
OUT: Assou Ekotto, Bassong, Crouch (although pains me as he's a very likeable guy. Don't want him starting so for his own career best if he left and didn't go stale on the bench), O Hara (can piss off to Portsmouth permanently), Jenas, Hutton.

Sorry Pele, we're completely at odds here
Micah Richards is so overrated it's Ghastly.
Corluka's better, Kaboul's no worse, We have the Kyle's... need to sell a RB (i.e. Hutton).
Hulk
Ozil - would love it but it's a pipe dream. Arda Turan instead
Crouch isn't going as long as 'arry is here.
Jenas & Hutton can go, so can O'Hara if he wants to, but we'll need to buy another CM to replace him, so I'd rather we hung on to him.
As for Bassong & Assou-Ekotto... you got a problem with Franco-Cameroonian's or something?

Re: Your transfer wishlist : Summer 2010
Still don't get the Madristas hatred for Lass. He was a very good passer of the ball at Arsenal and Chelsea. I would take him in a heartbeat, though not for Cesc. I also think he's a disruptive influence which could put potential buyers off.
Anyway for Arsenal
In: Chamakh, (Remy?), Hart/Schwarzer/Buffon (been linked, unrealistic I know), Sakho/Mexes, Subotic, Melo/Lass
Out: Almunia, Shittianski, Tweety, Gallas, Eduardo
Could be more, but I know what we're like with injuries.

Richards has become overrated because he had a great start to his career and then has clearly bedded into the comfort zone of being a highly paid footballer. A move away from Eastlands could be just the tonic to re-ignite that promise. To me, he's got the potential to become a black Gareth Bale - strong, quick and with good technique. I'm not a massive fan of Corluka, good ability on the ball but he's incredibly slow. Recently he's started to rely on the diagonal ball from deep into the box which rarely works. Without Lennon we've not had anyone capable of matching Bale on the left and getting to the byline. Richards could do this with either Lennon or Bentley playing infront of him.
Kaboul, well he looked very good against Bolton on the right, but still unsure. The Kyle's are still a year or two at the very least from the first team.
Hulk I've always rated as someone who could be very successful in England. We really need a mobile but technically adept target man with pace (then again, what team doesn't??). Crouch is not mobile enough, Pav has little or no pace over mid distance.
Turan is a good shout. Also Arteta aswell as Pienaar should be on Harry's radar.
Bassong and BAE - nothing against them being Indomitable Elephants, just don't think either are anything more than above average players

Re: Your transfer wishlist : Summer 2010
Same problem exists at Everton, but to a bigger level - even with all players healthy, our right side is not matching our left side. Donovan changed it for a moment, but even with him playing, it was clear we need athletic right back. Hopefully Coleman will develop properly, damm you Spurs for hijacking Kyle Naughton transfer, stupid boy too, he could be a starter for us this seasonNoah and the Bale wrote:Without Lennon we've not had anyone capable of matching Bale on the left and getting to the byline. I don't think you can afford Arteta, probably Manchester City is the only club which needs him the most, and which can match our asking price.

I don't think that Boruc was ever overrated. When he was called World Class (or close to it), he was World Class (EC 2008, Celtic games in CL, especially against Milan, now he's called overweight drunk, and that's who he is.Kimbo wrote:Boruc is the mosting overrated player in overratedville. Re: Your transfer wishlist : Summer 2010
We don't hate him. He is a good player but the system we play at the moment doesn't suit him and especially when he has to play next to Alonso. His passing isn't good enough and neither is his first touch which gets him in trouble too often. I would keep one of him or M.Diarra who also has the height which is a real plus in my eyes. It is a pragmatic decision really because Lass would bring in more then M.Diarra.Romford Pele wrote:Still don't get the Madristas hatred for Lass. Lets see how you do against a not so crappy team in the final
