Not sure how much money we have. Last year was quite a bit over the budget with Ibra and Chygrinskiy.

Almost none but you'll get loans to pay for Villa (40m) and Torres (70m), apparently. Ale

Great players are able to adapt. Leonardo is not going to change his formation for a 35 year old Beckham.

His injury happened around the same time as Nesta and Pato went down. Those two were far more important.

    Arsenal

OUT: Fabianski, Almunia, Rosicky, Vela, Diaby, Denilson, Silvestre.

    IN:

Goalkeeper: Lloris/Hart/Schwarzer/Jaaskaleinen and a back up goalkeeper too.

Defender: Someone with a bit of pace.

Central midfielder: Diaby and Denilson aren't good enough. We need someone who can cover Song and also play alongside him if we're playing against decent opposition for which we'll want to be more defensive.

    Striker: Chamakh

Well I personally see qualities in him and think it's too early to write him off. Unlike Caceres, who you could see (after just a few appearances) was a fish out of water.

The price tag does seem excessive but let's see if it works out from a long term perspective.

Not many La Liga watchers agree with me (or Pep) on this one though.

Boruc is the mosting overrated player in overratedville. He couldn't be more overrated if he had overrated stamped on his overrated forehead. And Akinfeev has never played in a top league, so many keepers come here with big reputations and look poor.

Given is more overrated than Boruc so your first line is incorrect.

Akinfeev is still young so not surprising that he hasn't played in a "big league" yet. He looks quite good though, and him not having played in a big league isn't a valid reason to not persue him.

Akinfeev is unrealistic because of CSKA's links with Abramovich I think.

I do like Boruc - you can add him to that list as well.

IN: Paul Hayes (Scunthorpe) - big and exceptionally talented CF who hasn't played at the top level due to lack of pace.

+ He is from the South East, I think he is out of contract and they must be one of the few clubs in our division who we could beat when it comes to offering wages.

    - There may be bigger Championship clubs after him

    Henri Lansbury (Arsenal) *Loan

+ Won't be near the Arsenal 1st team (prob never will be due to lack of pace) but adds some much needed quality to our midfield

    - can't think of any !

    Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (Arsenal) *Loan

+ We seem to have a good relationship with Arsenal and it would probably be better for him than Blackpool or Donny 'cos he is a Londoner. As well as his considerable skill he would add some much needed pace and muscle (we have recently played a couple of games where all 13 outfield players used were under 6ft and there is no pace in the front 6!)

    - Maybe a club with a better chance of promotion will want him or he will take the place of an academy player like Marvin Sordell.

    * A decent experienced CB is a must - martin Taylor has been dissapointing.

Demerit, Harley probably won't be offered new contracts - we should cash in on Scott Loach before 'arry realises he isn't very good !

We're pretty skint, the wage bill has to stay pretty much around the same as it is now. It's not a massive problem with Butt and others leaving, but it still restricts things. Thanks for your concern Bobo. ok
