The problem us dirty little Englander scums have with this news is, the Ballack we have been watching for the past couple of years is nothing special. So to you dirty little battenburgs it may be like Messi missing out, to us it is nothing. Ok Otto? <Ale>

Ä wrote:wow. quite astonishing to see that the ENGLANDERS on here once again do not see the implications of the Ballack injury, almost , as if they were living on a DIFFERENT PLANET maybe even an ISLAND.

let me put it like this "Ballack out" is a HUGE loss for the Mannschaft. not only is a TOP player missing more importantly, the LEADER, the BRAINS, the CHIEFTAIN is out - the psychological BLOW is GIGANTIC.

add the little fact that Löw is the GREATEST c**t AND clown EVER to manage Germany (alongside his alter ego and mentor KLINSI) and you will quickly realise that the U-21 team the Swabian moron is going to field will be WEAKENED massively.

WHY should WE care ?, I hear you ENglanders shout. well Germany were already placed in the GROUP of DEATH alongside Ghana , Serbia and Australia. a HUGELY weakened Mannschaft (without Ballack, Frings, Lehmann, Kuranyi, probably also Wiese in goal, Hummels...) could EASILY stumble here and there and either get kicked out in the Group Stage DIRECTLY OR end up SECOND in the GROUP meaning in the SECOND ROUND Germany would probably play ENGLAND Yikes

by that stage, though, Germany being Germany, the new formation could have gelled and found its confidence again and provide the kind of stumbling block for England , that you islanders had NOT anticipated Yikes

always remember WE BEAT THE ROMANS Ballack out: should England WORRY ? - Page 4 Icon_cheers

in other words as IT STANDS England are LIKELY to meet Germany in the second round and as you all know UNLESS you get a SOVIET linesman YOU ARE TOAST cheers Ale

maybe, it' s time, my dear Englanders, to pick a SECOND team to support for the LATER stages. wahre G Ale

Imagine Otto wasn't such a paragraph-whore. How much space on the interweb he is filling with endless mashing of the Enter key No

Germany-England in the second round - I've always seen that as quite likely as it's very easy for one of the two to finish 2nd. It would be a tasty tie. And I'm sure everyone would agree that England beating Germany on penalties would be the most beautifully karmic moment in the history of football. Germany vs England may look tasty on paper

    agreed

on the pitch it's the kind of fare islanders tend to choke on

the MEMORIES, the "what ifs" , will fill your winter evenings and provide plenty of pub quiz sessions (about pigclimbers and Benders...)

when you think of buying a World Cup Lions TOASTER or Washing Machine

always remember, that the World Cup could be over for YOU have spread the BUTTER

chances are, as so often, that ZEROoney and Co will be back home

    BEFORE the postcards

    think about it

Actually, it's the other way around. There should be a rule implemented that forbids players who move to the EPL to be called up for the German national team, unless it's the American Football or Rugby team.

Ballack regressed ever since he moved to England. True story.

But no, we will still miss him, especially his leadership. His footballing abilities will be missed less.

So you're as bad off as we are with missing Ruud ?

I really can't understand why the Germans are treating this as the end of the world.

Ruud is nowhere near as important for Holland as Ballack is for Germany Axe, you must be kidding. Ballack is the captain, one of the few experienced players in a very young team, basically holding things together. Ruud, especially as a striker / classical poacher, does not have the same kind of function for Holland.

lol! You're German, not Spanish, you're in no position to talk down to us little Englanders about such things. Also doesn't blutgraetsche bascailly mean dirty foul, i'm sure you told us that once.

We have no leaders in the team though (bar Von Bommel) : we needed Ruud for his leadership and mental strength.

That he kicks a ball in the net once in a while is a nice Zugabe, but nowhere near the main reason why I wanted him in the squad...

I'm in every position to talk down to you. As if only the Spanish know how to pass the ball. German teams already played possession football when the English were confusing football with goose hunting, the ball being more time in the air than on the ground.

You krauts are known for playing horrible "efficient" football. Having your football called "efficient" is the equivalent of saying you have a "bubbly" personality, it sounds good, but that's it.

The prospect of Germany looks rather tasty if you ask me.

It would be a major scalp for either team and the team that loses would be devastated at not having made it further.

Looking at Germany's squad I don't see anything particularly scary apart from their ruthless EFFICIENCY.

I think taking a German scalp in the World Cup would be massive for England and might be the impetus that we need to 'go all the way'
