The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave for the win though I'll be happy for either country to go through and knock Uruguay out.

America getting raped all over by Ghana. And when they do get the ball, they lose it immediately by attempting long balls.

The American defense is really poor and is the root of their problems in this game...they're all slow, poor on the ball, and positionally a bit all over the place when attacked...their inability to absorb any pressure is preventing the US from establishing any kind of rhythm.

Edit: forgot to mention, their entire team also gets sucked too narrow...nobody is back helping the fullback track an overlapping Ghana player.

Altidore's alright but doesn't seem like he's a goalscorer. Not sure about Findley.

Think they have a good midfield but definitely lacking with strikers. Look at their squad and the 4 forwards have less than 50 caps and just 13 goals between them.

They're really relying on the midfield to get the goals.

USA are just a poor man's England - its a national disgrace that we finished 2nd.

They too play an outdated 4-4-2 and can't pass very well.

    Pace, Grit and determination.

He's the American Heskey but... can score vs the likes of Hounduras and similar minor teams. He was useless whenever I saw him play for Hull last season as well.

edit - 1 goal in 26 appearances for Hull

USA are awful in possession, but that's nothing new. Ghana's midfield is excellent. As I said, they can and likely will cause teams a lot of problems in the upcoming matches. Their defence isn't too shabby either, they only are a bit toothless up front.

Expect the Americans to fight back in the second half though, they won't give up easily.
