    USA - Ghana 1-2 FT

    Great match, worthy winner, congrats!

Been a while we saw an African team in the WC 1/4 finals. Even without Ayew, they will give Uruguay a good run for their money.

Sad It was a good match, though Bradley is an idiot, his starting line-ups have all been shit, we then give up a goal early, and then he brings on someone else who does a better job than the guy Bradley named.

I am wondering what was the reason for benching Altidore, US really struggled without him up front.

Ghana will be fine, they've got 5 days rest. Uruguay are nothing special, a special team doesn't struggle against South Korea like they did today. It will be weird seeing one of these teams in the semi's though. <Ale>

I thought USA were quite good in the second half and Ghana were too easily opened up and didn't keep their shape well enough. Seems bit of a trend that they get worse towards the end of the match.

    No Ayew Sad

One of their players who I have been quite impressed by allthough I don't think he caused too much damage today. Hopefully no Muntari but I don't know how much depth they have really so I don't expect much against Uruguay who have a very difficult midfield plus defenders that can take care of Gyan. Plus the fact that they are tired and Boateng possibly being out I think this is where it ends.

Felt sorry for Ayew was a harsh card, but see no reason why Ghana are a dead man walking. Those guys are so fit they'll be able to play next match. Boateng is a key player for you, but also a liability. Was like he wanted a card at some point tonight.

Ghana can beat Uruguay. The Urus are slight favourites, because they have more firepower up front, but Ghana will be quite a challenge for them, even without Ayew.

Especially Ghana without suspended Ayew and possibly injured KP Boateng.

I didn't mean USA would give UR A GAY a better match - I meant UR A GAY would prefer to play USA than Ghana.

Ghana will prob control the game v UR A GAY but the South Americans have more firepower and willl be more efficient upfront.

the worst thing about the USA is the way they deal with victory. Watching some of the players interviewed after a win you always get the impression they're going to do the full Gwenyth. Also they still don't seemed to have grasped that it's a team sport 'I achieved this' 'This is the result of all my hard work' etc etc

They were the #11 ranked nation at this tournament, qualifying for the knockout stages is a minimum requirement, they act like they're Cameroon '90.
