I'm going to join in with the majority on this one
wtf is 'subtly beautiful' supposed to mean? COTR is right, he put an average performance, a 6/10 or even 7/10 if we are generous, but that doesn't mean you produce a biased interpretation of every touch of his and make it appear like there's something there that just wasn't.

Anyway, well done to Holland, I think they deserve to be in the final.
I don't think they're "lucky". Their current style is clearly not the classic 'total football' approach we expect from Dutch teams, but that doesn't mean they don't know what they're doing.
IMO because we as fans are failing to understand their system/tactics/mentality properly - or at least, failing to come to grips with this new Dutch style - we are branding it "fluke" or "lucky". Like lrd said, their recent record is just phenomenal and doesn't happen by chance.
Uruguay will have won a lot of fans though. I was impressed by them yesterday. Rios was very good, and especially Caceres...feared the worst when he was up against Robben, but he only got beaten twice IIRC, and put in some crucial last ditch tackles. Was decent going forward too, and his Stoke throw-ins are a bonus.
(yes, I'm hoping his game last night convinces someone to buy him off Barça
)
