I predicted that IF Germany beat Argentina in the QF

they would end up winning the Cup outright

irrespective of whether they had to play against Brazil or Holland in the final or had to play Spain in the Semis (or not)

But it would indeed be a good final, Germany play the better football and would deserve it more. But Holland seem to be the old Germany.

Like you say for Germany its a test of defeating their old selves. For Holland it would be a test to show Dutch people would make even better Germans then real Germans themselves, and thus make the real Germans obsolete and ready for destruction IF they win that is.
