Jansen looked kinda disappointed with scoring there. Not the most joyful celebration I've ever seen!

Khedira scores, a really scrappy goal. Not good defending from Uruguay.

Yes both today and the semifinal he's been impressive. But I very much doubt he has a role at Barça, unless he suddenly shows an ability to play with the ball and in a high defensive line in training and the club decide he can be a RB backup for Alves. If anything, I reckon his 2 good performances will raise interest from clubs to buy him.

Oh man that last shot so should have went in. Some nice cash was on offer there. And Forlan deserves golden boot it seems like every effort he takes you expect to be a goal from long range!

    Yeah, congrats Germany. Deserved.

However, Uruguay - and Forlan in particular - have been a revelation given no one seriously expected them to get this far. A country of just 3 million people. Tonight they more than held their own in terms of entertainment and playing good football.

Shame that Africa will only ever remember them for the hand of Suarez Ale

Uruguay did great this WC, Forlan is class! Shame about their keeper tonight otherwise they won. And shame their reputation got ruined by Deutschland v Uruguay - Page 4 Icon_rabbit but that never suprised me cause I told you all what a massive c**t suarez is. Wasted way too many chances tonight.

    Shocked

He has mastered the Jabulani to an extent I'll grant you but he is hardly a dead-ball specialist and one goal in a world cup doesn't make him great - he is the 3rd best Uruguayan at free-kick's.

Nice dive from Suarez at the death to gain the free kick that Forlan put onto the bar. Never saw that coming, after a blatant dive against South Africa and the handball against Ghana.

As to Forlan's free kick expertise - the only one he got in was because the keeper did a Shay Given and stepped out of the way.

Suarez went down easily but it was hardly the worst dive and if he hadn't dived the ref probably wouldn't have given the free-kick he deserved.

I'd like refs to realise that a player doesn't have to go to the floor to have been fouled and then people would maybe dive less.

The combination of deceptively great upper body strength and lack of morals is always going to see Suarez win a lot of free-kicks.

They have 2 World Cups! And all anyone ever talks about is how small their country is. Imagine the condescension if it had been Ghana instead. Rolling Eyes
